Women's Health - February 2007

Shes now married, and confided in me that her husband has never seen her totally naked. She only has sex with shirts on. Also, that she doesnt really care for orgasms. This kinda concerns me, and I feel bad that she has those hangups. She says that as a teen, she treated sex like it was no big deal. She had a lot of absent daddy, trying to fill the hole with men and sex, issues. Now that she is married, sex is sacred to her, and now shes plagued by these different issues, and the inability to just let go while making love. I'm curious if any other women have experienced this kind of sexual hangup. If so, did you ever get past it, and how? Thanks so much!

i have been having a lot of stinging, burning whilst having sex and my vagi*na is sore to touch and it has gone swollen - i presume it is thrush off the antibiotics i have been taken can cause it - so i bought the canesten Oral Capsule - this is the first time i have had thrush and hopefully the last - how long does it take to go away after taking the oral capsule ?? thanxs x

Have no pains whatsoever in my body.After bathing I then went to urinate to check whether I stil have something coming out, there was nothing. I slept til morning and up to now no blood stains are noticed. Can there be anything wrong with my pregnancy? Shound I go and see a Doctor.

My period has been irregular ever since I started it. The only time it is regular is when I take birth control pills which prevent me from getting pregnant. Then when I stop taking them because me and my fiance are trying to get pregnant, my period goes back to being irregular? Should I be worried?

I had an ultrasound tues and she said i have thick lining on my cervix, i went to Dr yesterday to get my results and he said i have 2 go to gyno. Gyno said there's a 30day wait for really urgent patients. then i got a call today my appointment is tomorrow?? Should i be worried? I've had pain and tenderness as well as this apparently thick lining?

OK, here is the situation.
Married, 33 years old and never missed a period - ever except when I was pregnant
Have not been on the pill for the past 3 months
Have not had sex in past 3 months
Got my last period Dec. 30 thru Jan 4 but was sick with a 24-hr stomach virus during my last period
Started dieting and exercising on Jan 1 (New Year's reoslution)
Did not have sex in Jan.
Had sex on Feb. 3 because I knew I would be getting my period - however I did not as of yet. Had all the signs that I was getting it - (PMS and hot spells) which is why I had unprotected sex
I know I was not pregnant up to the time we had sex on Feb. 3
Still do not have my period
Questions:
I can't be pregnant right?
When you skip, do you usually keep the same cycle?
Should I expect to get my period around the beginning of March.

Please put my mind at ease.

Has anyone ever heard of the vitamin St. Johns Wort to help with trying to conceive?? I was talking to my mom earlier and she said that an ex g/f of my uncle was trying to get pregnant a few years back. trying for 12 years I guess! Well she took St. Johns wort to help and she got pregnant 3 months later! Has anyone else heard of this at all?? I know it is supposed to help with mood disorders and stuff but with conceiving? Do you think that it was just a coincedence or if the vitamin actually helped her?? Thanks!!

I woke up yesterday with a few zits/smaller pimples on my upper chin area - and it feels like they're spreading.

How can I get rid of them FAST? I have this neutrogena 8 hr fast relief stuff but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any ideas? I wanna pop them but then won't they spread more? Yet I don't wanna have them visible at all... :(

I recently noticed that I have a red spot right under the "hood" of the clitoris. It's not so much a bump but a really red spot about the color of blood. I also noticed that i have a pink spot with white over it almost like a scar on the "crack" of my inner vagina lip. Does anyone know what this could be? Are these 2 things related at all?

Every month i get cramp like feelings , it doesn't matter what time of the month it is, it just happens constantly. I asked my doctor what could this be and he said that i am perfectly fine and that it might be when i am ovulating. But you don't ovulate ALLL month do you ? what could this be ?

Ive been having herendous cramps to where I throw up, turn white, get clammy, and faint. I will curl up in a ball and pray to god I don't die because the pain is so herrendous. I'm afraid I have endometriosis or cervical cancer or something of that nature and I'd really like to hear from some people who have gone through these things and what their symptoms were... I'm just kinda scared to find out. I'm going to go to a gynocologist, hopefully, next week but in the mean time I'd really like to hear from you guys.

I've just about had it with people (especially women) who think they need to look like Lindsay Lohan to be accepted. I've also had it with people who attack Tyra Banks and Oprah for being overweight. Being skinny sells and being fat sells but there are tens of millions of men and women who feel horrible about their body image. I lost 60 lbs and I felt great but I regained the weight within 18 months. Too many people purchase "crap" that claims to lose weight. Many TV shows have addressed eating disorders over the past 2 decades but people continue to starve themselves to death. The body was built for food and exercise - not listening to suicide songs like "You're Beautiful" from a troubled ex-British military officer. Come on, explain to me why this obsession with body image.

I have always had the worst freakin' cramps ever. They get so bad sometimes that I throw up, faint, and get all clammy. I can sometimes control it by taking midol before I get any symptoms around that time of the month but when I forget it is so painful. I have literally curled up in a ball and cried praying that I don't die because it hurt that bad. I use to miss school, I fainted at work. I dunno. I've been told that it is probably just an iron deficiency but I took iron and still had the cramps. Has anyone else gone through this?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I just went pee, and when I wiped it was kind of pinkish/orangish color? It kind of looked like blood but it wasn't clotty or anything..and it was only kind of pink, not very. What does this mean??

i think i am pregnant, because this morning and the other day, when i woke up, the room began spinning so hard for a few seconds. the other day was worse, because it happened around 5x. but just once this morning.

could it be also that i lean my head to the side one time? i noticed this before the room spinned again this morning..

i am not ready to be pregnant..is there a doctor i can see that can tell me what is wrong before being suspicious that it's pregnancy?
because if i see a pregnancy doctor, then her first suspicions must be that i am pregnant.. uh..am i making sense?

I have a 5cm simple cyst on my ovaries and it causes sharp pains from time to time. It has caused me to have 2 periods in 1 month and bleed heavily. MY Dr put me on birth control, does this shrink it or will it dissolve? What happens if it ruptures, do I just take a bunch of Advil and call my Dr the next morning? Anyone have this before?

then, when I use the restroom, it goes away. It gets to the point where as SOON as I have the urge to urinate, I have to go or it in unbearable. This just seems kinda "mixed up" and weird to me...Why is this like that??
