i think i am pregnant, because this morning and the other day, when i woke up, the room began spinning so hard for a few seconds. the other day was worse, because it happened around 5x. but just once this morning.

could it be also that i lean my head to the side one time? i noticed this before the room spinned again this morning..

i am not ready to be pregnant..is there a doctor i can see that can tell me what is wrong before being suspicious that it's pregnancy?
because if i see a pregnancy doctor, then her first suspicions must be that i am pregnant.. uh..am i making sense?
people who understand pls answer. thanks!

The room spinning is generally not a sign of pregnancy, your first pregnancy sign will be a missed period. Most women don't have symptoms until morning sickness starts several weeks into pregnancy. It sounds like you have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. It isn't a serious condition and medicine isn't required to fix it (Doctors will use positioning exercises to make it go away). It might fix itself in a few weeks anyway. It usually happens in the morning when you wake up and results from turning your head a certain way, exactly like you said. This can give you nausea and vomiting even. You can read up on it at the web site listed below if you want. If you are pregnant, this is most likely not related to it.

Make an appointment in 'Family Medicine' with a doctor, male or female, that you would feel comfortable talking with. They will direct you to someone in specialty areas if that is what you need.

You could buy a pregnancy test, but if you were pregnant, you'd have to see a doctor anyway and they'll just retest you, so why be out the $ for a test?

I would first of all go and get a pregnancy test from the store. That way you can most likely rule out being pregnant if it comes out negative. The tests are not always correct though. It sounds like to me that you may have low blood sugar. If you go and see your regular doctor, they will be able to direct you to the proper doctor. Good luck!

Just see your general practitioner and tell her everything that's going on. No doctor is going to think you're pregnant if you're not (even an ob/gyn). If you are pregnant and you delay finding out about it, your options will be fewer.

*Yes, a general practitioner or family physician can help you. This is just a general doctor who will give you a physical and test out your overall health. She will order or take tests if she thinks you need them, based on your symptoms. Can you look one up in the phone book?

If you are concerned about being pregnant, you can walk into any drug store, or Walmart, and buy a pregnancy test..... at least that would either confirm, or elimimate that possibility.... then you can think about what kind of doc to go to..... Tests don't cost much anymore, and any age can buy them.....
It's worth a shot.

Your family doc should be appropriate. She or he won't automatically assume your symptoms mean pregnancy. The doc will look at all kinds of things at once to help explain your symptoms. Sounds like an inner ear problem, if you ask me.

see a general physician - your symptoms do not sound like pregnancy to me - maybe your getting up too quickly - or not eating or drinking enough but i dont think from what your describing that you are pregnant
