Funny you should ask. I was just talking to some of my friends about this!
When it comes to me, if I'm in an environment where the majority of the people are guys... I actually will use the bathroom and then put the toilet seat back up. It started off as a joke, but after I got many thank yous over it, it kind of became a funny habit.

I have no choice in the matter except lift the seat up because if I dont then the boys dont and I have to wipe the seat before I sit down. The toilets are big enough so there shouldn't be any reason for missing but they do and its me that has to clean up after them and the ladies at work say the same why cant males aim properly instead of it going everywhere.

My husband informed me {many years ago} that if I wanted the seat down, he would close the whole toilet. Either way, I would have to lift a lid, just like he has too after I go. Needless to say, we compromised. He lifts it up when he goes, I put it down when I go. We haven't discussed it since and we are very happily married!

When will men learn not to pee anywhere else besides the toilet bowl? Not all women are like that. LOL!

when men start to clean the pee off the back of the toilet, then well talk... and dont even try to say the woman left the pee stains, WE DO NOT STAND UP, so its pretty hard to miss the big *** hole!!!
i just want to add, im a woman, i dont trip on the seat being down or up... i LOOK before i sit...

ha ha when men learn shut the front door and post the keys through the letter box this is when we also take a box of chocolates to bed and do the breaststroke all around our newly gained mattress space oh I'll live of those beautiful memories forever lol and in fact me and the toilet seat have a synchronised dance routine in honour of his name ha ha

By keeping the toilet covered you minimize the amount of germs in the bathroom area. So she's doing you a favor.
I do not think you would like all those germs to rest on your toothbrush now do you?
