Ever since I began my weightloss efforts, I have had my period every 21 days. Only about every 4 months do I go 28 to 30 days without one. I lost 70 pounds in a year and a half, so that is not at all a drastic loss. (I hit a plateau too) It does not seem to me that I am excersising too much either. What could be going on? Better yet, should I just keep dealing with it like my male family pracitioner suggests?

I started depo provera the 8th, when I first got my period. It's not heavy, but very light. It only shows when I wipe and gets a tiny bit heavier towards night.

I have been drinking 5-6 bottles of water everyday since Tuesday and I woke up this morning looking bigger and sort of puffier on my face. Is this because of the water or is this rapid weight gain? And is this temporary?

So i just got my ultrasound results back- i had gone to the doc about lower right side abdominal pain, which was worse during sex. It turns out i have a couple of small cysts on my ovary (or ovaries, im not sure- the nurse on the phone spoke quickly, im expecting a letter from them though). anyways, she mentioned that in the future i may have to visit a fertility specialist because this will make it harder for me to get pregnant (advice straight from the doctor she said). Im worried about this obviously. Im on the pill now, i stopped it for literally 2 months and in those two months is when the sypmtoms started. i got on it right away. so that should help. but still, is it really going to be a difficulty to get pregnant? im about to turn 24 and dont want one now, im about to start a masters program and new career so this is not the time to start trying. anyone have any experiences?

i figure if the cysts are on just one ovary the other one should be working just fine right?

I live in an apartment complex, and for the past week they've been working on the apartment complex next door. They're painting it, using paint thinner and paint, and the strong chemical smell has been wafting into my non-insulated apartment for several days now. I feel like I've been unusually foggy-headed over these past days. Could that by why? The other complex is run by a different management company, but should I complain about this? (As in "You should've warned the local residents that you were going to be using these chemicals") I'm really upset about the situation, since the painters told me yesterday that this will be going on for a MONTH! Any advice appreciated... thanks.

My menstrual cycle since I was young has been very painful. About a week before my period I will get slight cramps which lets me know it's on it's way. The past year, I have been getting small spots for about 2 days. Really bad cramps. Then nothing for 2 more days. Finally, I will start my period, but it starts with dark brown discharge, like you have at the end of your period, then I will get my full blown heavy cycle. So, my period last about a week, starting from the first spotting. And it's so painful that no Aleve or Midol or heating pad will even phase my pain...
Does anyone else have periods like this?
I went to the doctor last year, and she didn't really tell me anything. I am still paying that bill because I don't have insurance. So, I don't want to go to the dr again. Too expensive... Is there something particular this might be thats causing such weird periods.

I am taking the 3-day treatment(my last treatment is tonight) and have been drinking and eating yogurt and yogurt smoothies. How will I know that I am cured after the 3 days? I did not have any symptoms(my dr. found it when I went in to check on my antibiotics) Is there anything else I can take or do to insure I get rid of this? When can I have sex again?

SERIOUS help only, please. This is painful enough, already.

I have been in the middle of a miscarriage for a week, now. I have been spotting, but have not really done more than that. My midwife says that a D&C might be necessary but I can't handle that. Has anyone heard the name of a pill or herbal treatments that help things move along? I want to know my other options. Thank you.

usually it takes like 28 days to start up again, but it has only been 14, it has never done this before.

I highly doubt that I am pregnant because I have been on the Depo for years. Also, it is just one breast that hurts the way a bruise might hurt if you push it. I don't feel any lumps, but it hurts when I lay on my stomach at night and if I feel or grab it to put my bra on. What do you think that means?

I've been taking the Yasmin birth control pill, and it makes me unbareably nauseous. A month ago, I had forgotten to take my pill the previous day, so took it the next day when I remembered, and I ended up vomiting from it. I was originally taking the pill for protection against pregnancy, but now I'm taking it more for the condition of my skin (to control my hormones). Has anyone had this problem (getting nauseous from birth control)? And, does anyone have a birth control pill brand that they'd like to recommend (perhaps one that can help with mild acne)?

Thanks.
