Ever since I began my weightloss efforts, I have had my period every 21 days. Only about every 4 months do I go 28 to 30 days without one. I lost 70 pounds in a year and a half, so that is not at all a drastic loss. (I hit a plateau too) It does not seem to me that I am excersising too much either. What could be going on? Better yet, should I just keep dealing with it like my male family pracitioner suggests?

You should talk to an OB.

Congratulations on your weight loss. That is quite an achievement.

The weight loss can create issues with the reproductive cycle. So it is best to check with the OB. Get a second opinion.

it incredibly is conceivable, yet no longer likely. generally throughout the time of the menstrual cycle the egg is discharged, yet there is that one minute threat that the waiting-to-be discharged egg met up with incoming sperm at wa-l. a. - you have a fertilized egg.

See an endocrinologist about re-balancing your hormones. Sounds like you could use some.

See your Gyn and ask.

Your male family practitioner is the wrong person to ask.

I'd suggest that you talk to an OBGYN. He/She can help you with this. From what I've read, you may need your hormones balanced out again.
