I started depo provera the 8th, when I first got my period. It's not heavy, but very light. It only shows when I wipe and gets a tiny bit heavier towards night.

Yup its normal. It can last from a day or so or up to a month or so.

Depo really screws up your system and your bone health. I'd seriously reconsider taking the shot.

I was on it for four years. Spotting at odd times (no period just spotting), weight gain, mood swings, etc.

It is different for everyone. I took Depo Provera for a year and my bleeding almost never stopped. Every three months, after getting the shot I would not spot for about three weeks. Then I would constantly spot for the remaining two months. I also had gained ALOT of weight on the shot. After getting off of Depo. the weight issue went away, and I got a regular 28 day cycle. -Sarah LaRue-

I was on Depo for over a year. Although my period had stopped, I was spotting for a month straight! Then when I got off it, I had my period for what seemed like an eternity.

Also, I know 2 girls that started having ovarian cysts while they were on Depo. As someone said down below, I would reconsider taking Depo.

I truthfully have in no way observed. I truthfully have been on Depo for 3 years this time. approximately 9 years in the past i grew to become into on it for 2 years. the two cases my classes stopped right this moment. I enjoyed it. i did no longer have any of the undesirable indications that others have had. I truthfully have gained 10 pounds in 3 years. which could or could no longer be the dep.. the two way it is not lots. My well-being care provider recomended taking greater calcium. I truthfully have been. My bone scans are high-quality. No bone loss in any respect. i think perchance i'm basically between the fortunate few. After listening to each and all of the matters others have had, some cases i think of of going off of it. yet whilst it is not happening to me then why could I?

Hi... Listen every woman or girl is defferent. I have daughters on DEPO ages 23 and 26, and they are both experienceing different symptoms, one spots every now and then and the other never spots! One gets her period, and one doesn't. It all depends on your own body...
