Gross. If you have this now what will happen when you are 17 or 18. Nature was not kind to you. 117 is heavy if you are 5'3". You should be no more than 100 pounds.

No they aren't disgusting, I'm pretty sure every woman has them somewhere on her body. Don't freak out, you've probably just been "developing" quickly in that area, judging by your age...or you could have built up muscle from running or exercise. Stretch marks are just an indication that your skin has stretched more than it can handle in a short period of time. When I was in middle school my breasts were covered in them. You don't have to tell your Mom if you don't want to, they aren't a pressing issue. Give them a while, they will fade in time. And 117 pounds is not a "disgusting pig", girl, you're skinny!

First don't listen to "Dems Own The House And Senate" 5'3 and 117lbs is just fine and your fifteen right? I'm sure you've recently had a growth spurt due to puberty sometimes that can cause stretch marks. Maybe you used to be an active child and recently not so, and you've gained weight in areas you wouldn't have before puberty! I used to run track and all the other girls grew and I didn't so I quit, then I got stretch marks on my inner thighs because i gained wt. in areas that had been tone.

wow okay darling one thing you have some self image issues that you should definatly work out. And second your growing, stretch marks indicate you just had a growth spurt. The marks are there cause youve grown so fast in alittle amount of time that your skin had no time to adjust. Its like over blowing a balloon, right before it pops look at the top of it youll see the elastic stretch marks on it. Stretch marks are perfectly normal. And fair warning your gonna get them on your breasts. You Can go to a store and get stretch mark cream which will get rid of them.
And if your mom would even consider thinking that let alone telling you that, your moms got some seriouse self image problems herself if shes takin it out on you.
And dont listen to that dork above me. your weight is perfectly natural and healthy for your age. dont be like one of those ugly bag of bones that look like they could fall into the crack in a floor.
Your also gaining muscle.
Muscle weighs more than fat.

im fifteen too and 130 lbs and 511. i have them too even though i am really skinny. i didn't tell my mother for a while because i was too embarrased. it started out as just one line and then it kept spreading. i would tell your mom asap so she can get a perscription for you like retin-a or something from the pharmacy can help. if i had told my mom sooner, there wouldn't be as much stretch marks as there is right now. all women go through it. the way to tell your mom is to just act casual. or try to get her to notice by like wearing short shorts and have her see them and she will ask about them and just tell her then. I told my mom when i was wearing a bathing suit and i just casually asked "how do i get rid of these purple-red lines on my inner thighs?" good luck.

oh don't worry! I'm 14 and about 104 lbs and I have them too! It really has little to do with your weight - and you're weight is just fine. Most likely, your mom has them too because they are often genetically passed - my mom has them as well me. Really, there isn't much you can about them - my mom had my use cocoa butter for 2 years to prevent me from getting them and it did nothing. Just get used to them - so many women have them!

ive had three kids and the palmers coco butter for strech marks works wonders, but u have to use it everyday and there is also palmers firming lotion i havent tried it. but those are somethings you can consider as as a parents myself, if my daughter was to come to me with this problem i wouldnt look at her as a disgusting pig and im sure that if u went to ur mom she wouldnt think that either it might just be worth talking to her about it but that is your choice, but the palmers coco butter works
