Women's Health - January 2007

I'm looking to lose some "Holiday" pounds. What is the quickest safest most effective way to lose weight. My problem area is the mid section. Once that goes down, Im straight!

Is it excersize with a certain pill or a specific food i should or shouldn't be eating.

I'm not doing Atkins so don't suggest that.

Sometimes when i have intercorse with my partner i cannot orgasm..i really have to sort of strain so to speak i tense my stomach and nearly all the muscles in my body to get there it gets embarresing as my face ends up red!!Anyone else have this trouble and hats your remedy?

I just started a new relationship that is now involving sex. The problem is, I don't know what is the best protection. I always heard about the pill but I take anti-seizure pills in a high milagram dose daily. I can't talk to my doctor because my aunt takes me to every appointment and she'd flip out if she know. Are condoms actually good? What about those patches? What is safe?

Hi, I recently had a c-section and while they were in there the doctor found a small fibroid. Now she said it is fairly common in African-American women. However, what exactly is a firbroid and what effects can they have on your health? And is the fact that i'm 21 and have them the norm?

Ok over the weekend my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time. and now I just recently got my period a few days after having sex, but it's not as heavy as it used to be. i have been having yeast infection once a month for about 7 months now. my doctor always gives me the inside and outside cream, this last time he gave me diflucan which doesnt really live up to its word. the creams helpd but they were messy and i wound up with a yeast infection the next month right after my period. i take vitamin c every day as well as pro-biotics. i do not eat sugary food, i eat yogurt daily,i was tested for stds, and i was also tested for diabietes. i do not have any of the health conditions that would trigger recurrent yeast. i am only 20 years old and this problem is making me crazy. please help

I had sex for the first time 5 days ago, and was indeed painful. I thought it only happens the first time, but it turned to be about the same even in the next intercourse. I just got some blood work back, I had what they are thinking was pancreatitis, and now i have hih lipase levels. I also have high cholesteral (225) and high Triglycerides (190). Could all of these be tied together somehow, how bad is this really? Please no mean answers and no one telling me i need to ask a doctor, im well aware of that. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

Do I have an hormonal problem?

I think I am hairy for a woman. Is this normal?
- I have a "happy trail" from my navel to my area between my legs.
- I have small hairs (noticeable but tiny) on my chest and breasts.
- I grow small hairs on my upper arms. I spotted one hair on my neck.

For instance can anyone tell me how painful it is to get one inserted into your body? I am 33 weeks pregnant and I am not sure of what kind of pain reliever they could use on me during the insertion or if any at all could even be used.
