Stretch marks are scars the skin get when it is streched beyond its limits. Though surgery can help, stretch marks do not go away. They can be made less visible by mositurising the skin and exercising frequently.

You really can't. Stretch marks are scars from the skin being stretched beyond it's limits. When you lose weight, they will get smaller and look more white than red. If they are from having a baby or 2, be proud, don't worry about what others say. To me a mothers stretch marks are her metals for bringing a new life into this world.

Skin brushing! I know it sounds weird, but I swear by it. My husband noticed that the stretch marks fade from an ugly red (at least in my case) to a very pale silvery/white. Still not GONE, but certainly a heck of a lot better!

Even the laser treatment is pretty sketchy in terms of effectiveness. I've heard good things about vitamin E (break open the capsules and rub them on), but the only guaranteed treatment is time... they will fade.

drink a lot of water and exercise so you break a sweat. Sometimes the sweating helps the skin to realign and soften.
Just an idea.
