I am looking for information mainly on the recovery process of the surgery. I am having it done in a month. I am 5'5, 120lbs, and a size D/DD. I am going down to a B. I know everyone heals differently and everyone handles pain differently but I am looking for a general idea of the recovery process. how long til you are normal again, how much pain, how long you are actually stuck in bed for? I am very excited about my surgery but have to go back to school 3 weeks afterwards. Any information would be helpful and appreciated. thank you!

I just turned 26 and was diagnosed with uterine fibroids (25cm-very large!) My OB-Gyn has ordered my a Lupron Injection (scheduled for Friday 12/08/06) it is suppose to shrink the fibroids by pushing me into early menopause and save my fertility-I have no children as of yet, but my dream is to have my own family one day. I have read many horrible reports on Lupron and have done a little reading up on alternatives and came across Myomectomy. I read that they can take the fibroids out of uterus no matter the size, #, or location---This seems much better of an option for me. If anyone has had this done, please tell me your experiences. I kind of feel obligated to get the injection because he already ordered it for me and it is very expensive-I do not want him to deny me as a patient if I refuse it and bring up this other option. Someone please give me advice, this is all new to me and I am scared to death and in alot of pain! I do not know what I need to do or what to say to my Dr. - TY

I have gained some weight very slowly over the past year, but in the past two months my boobs have gotten huge! I'm not pregnant, and I can't blame the weight gain because it happened in like 2 months. Why might this be happening?? I'm not on a new birth control or anything.

I haven't had my period in almost 8 months, and have gained almost 30 pounds in the last 6 months. I suffer from depression, and have recently been prescribed "celexa", and it was helping for a while, but seems to be not as helpful now that I have been taking it for two months. What can I do, and how can I alleviate this issue?

Ok, so, this is really embrassing and shameful, so please don't judge! I masturbated with the handle of a butter knife and now I have some vaginal bleeding. Should I be worried?

My daughter has had a bump, on her right upper shoulder, close to the shoulder blade, since she was about 15 years old. I took her to the doctor then and he took x-rays and just told us that it would go away by the time she turned 18. I didn't notice it until she was 15, cuz she had long curly hair and you couldn't see it. When she put her hair up for a party, that's when we noticed it. It hasn't really gotten bigger and it doesn't hurt her, only when she uses that arm for strenuous activity, otherwise she is fine. About 1 year ago, I took her again to see my doctor, who specializes in bones. He took an x-ray of her right shoulder, but the x-ray showed nothing was there. He told us that she would have to do an MRI on her shoulder, cuz that can see all the bones in her shoulder. He also examined her knees and elbows, checking to see if she had any other bumps, which she didn't or he would have told us. She couldn't do the MRI, cuz she wasn't insured, she is 23 now. Should we be worried?

okay...a few months ago i took an extra bc patch to try and "skip" my period, as i was getting married the weekend i would get it & there was no way to postpone the wedding...
I was on Ortho Evra (patch) and was already planning to switch to the pill (Yaz) because i'd heard the patch was a less safe method/more health problems and such...i ended up getting my period anyways but it was very light...i'm not sure how long it lasted because i started having a dark brown discharge...i'd had this happen before like at the very end of my period but it always went back to a normal clear/white discharge...
i'm wondering if it's the pills and it will eventually go away? Or if i just messed up my system by trying to avoid my period, which i ended up getting anyways? It's been 12 days since my period and in the past my cycle only lasts for about 4-5 days so i'm pretty sure its not just residual blood...
i know this is a long entry and pretty gross but any help would be appreciated!

I have never had a yeast infection until my current pregnancy. I have 3 children before this one and have never had one. I used monistat 7 which my docter said was OK, but I am now 13 weeks and have my 3rd yeast infection. When I use the monistat 7 it does take the yeast in fection away but then it comes back. Does anyone have any suggestion?
