i have very very bad insomnia . it takes me , on average , about 2 or 3 hours to fall asleep . when i do fall asleep , i wake up often and don't get quality sleep . i get probably between 2- 5 hours of sleep every night . i was prescribed sleeping pills by my doctor; they slightly improved my ability to fall asleep, but then stopped working completely. i have tried warm milk, no caffeine after noon , no working out before 5 pm , no eating after dinner, reading before bed , hot bath , essential oils, meditation, sleeping with music , sleeping without music , sleeping with lights , sleeping in pitch black .. i have tried everything and am still having this problem. even OTC sleeping pills have not work, and neither have the new ones i have been prescribed . what could be the problem and how can i fix this ? i have missed days and days of work because of sicknesses from lack of sleep ..
