yes for the first 5 or 6 days i believe, not sure how many exactly as not up to date with current legislation, after that u need a doctors certificate. i think when u go back to work u have to fill in a self certification form. hope this helps and maybe some one will know exactly for u.

the normal procedure is you can self cert for 3-5 days depending on where you work then you need a doctors note. hope you feel better soon :-)

Hi Does the contract your under count as I am contracted 3 days a week and when I am on holiday a weeks holiday pay is 3 days wages .Dose that mean when I put a self sick for a week that covers me for 6days meaning two weeks under contract > thanks

you can pick them up in post office of doctors surgery, but I don't know if that means you get paid when off - I know when I'm off I don't get paid hence Ive never been of work in 35 years except for 3 different funerals.
