Those suckers won't stay sweet after a bottle of cologne and sprays. Must be the Irish blood. Irish are famous for stinky feet i am told by my doctor. Although he is native american. hmmmm? It wakes me up at night and I have to sleep alone very often. The dog loves it. he chews up all my shoes unless they are behind a closed door or up high. What to do about all this stink? oh yes, yukky cream colored jammy gummy builds up if i forget to wash them for a few days.

I had a bad infection in my lymph nodes and was prescribed some very strong (1000mg) antibiotics. I have seen things on tv where they discuss how they can be very bad cause they also kill off the good bacteria in your body. I know that I needed to get rid of the infection, but is there something I should do to help my body recover from taking the strong medication?

I do not have serious health problems, but unfortunately I have enough to sometimes wonder why continue a lifestyle that will continuously force me to be aware of them.
I'm anemic, pretty bad asthma, eczema with scars, have a list of food allergies, tendency to faint from weakness, and stomach problems. They aren't as serious as heart problems and cancer and I'm not trying to complain, but just asking everyone else out there with the same dilemna -

It's easy to just sit in bed and stay inside to avoid all the allergens and what not and never explore new foods with risk of being allergic to them - but that would be a lifestyle I'm quite sure most ppl would not enjoy.

So, how do you stay motivated to keep trying despite having problems that you're aware of everyday? e.g. taking pills, making sure to have enough sugar, etc

:)

It makes no difference if I go to bed at 10pm or 1:30am- in the morning it's a real struggle to wake / get up. I usually try and get up at about 6:45am (I have to be in work for 8am) but I rarely make it out of bed before 7:30!

I'm an assistant teacher- it's not like my job is particularly strenuous and I'm never particularly sleepy during the day- just when I'm trying to wake up. I don't quite see why getting up in the morning (with 2 alarm clocks and a LOT of hitting the snooze button) is so difficult.

Any thoughts? It's getting a bit annoying.

It could be a nightmare too...

well last nite i had a dream where some bad people were attacking the place where i was with friends and family. i think it was a schoolor something similar to a school. and then torwards the end of the dream i was fighting this mean worrior woman and then all of a suddan someone with a big stick/pole stake, it was sharp, got me on the side of the neck from behinf and then i woke up... i couldn't sit up right away when i woke up cause part of my neck hurt exactly where i was hit in the neck in the dream which i thought was really weird..

you know when you have a really bad dream and you all of a sudden you wake up and then sometimes you just wake up and you are sitting up without thinking about it that was what i tried to do.....

now your turn.

Prescribed dosage of a medication I've taken for over 20 years suddenly left me with overwhelming desire to sleep. It happened once before and my doctor said at all costs I must stay awake. I did, and learned that the mediction can without warning shoot up in some inidividuals creating toxicity that if it is high enough will lead to coma, then sure death. In the emergency room the next day--I'd waited, since I was unsure I was having a reaction to the medicine, until after that night when I had to force myself awake--my serum level was 9/10ths point away from a point of inducing a coma. Now, I find that I've depleted my stamina and wasted my body through this event, days before toxitcity discovered, now two weeks after while I did without all medication until slowly I could reintroduce it.

My question is this: Do you, for any reason, have a similar experience to relate of a close brush with death due to strong medication, not, please, illicit drug overdoses.

I'm told that coffee dehydrates a person, and I'm often told that when a person is sick, they should drink lots of water to remain hydrated, therefore, is coffee good for a person who's sick?

I was not stuffed with food when I went to bed last night, and I never drink alcohol in any form. But about 3 hours after I fell asleep, while I was sleeping on my back, I started vomiting in my sleep! I jumped up and ran to the bath room. It took me a few seconds to get a grip on it enough to make it stop. This has never happen to me before. I've never been one to make myself vomit (I hate that). It's been almost 24 hours since this happened and I don't feel sick so I know I don't have the flu. Has this happen to anyone else? I've never heard of such a thing. Please advise me. Carol

My son has been complaining for over a year now about how is legs constantly hurt. He cant pin point a spot that the pain is in and there is not a day that his legs dont hurt. They can hurt in the day or in the evening. He has also started complaining that his feet hurt over the last several months. He has been having headaches off and on for the past 2 months too. We have asked the doctors and they just tell us its growing pains. I have never seen a kids with growing pains lasting this long or to the point that the child didnt want to go ride his bike or play outside because his legs hurt. I dont know where else to turn for information. I hate to see him hurting like this. We tried massaging them, rubbing them, warm baths, heating pads you name it we have even tried tylenol and motrin but nothing works. The meds dont seem to work on his headaches either. If anyone please has any idea of what to do or what this could be please help. Thank you all.
