I am assuming that you are referring to osteo(degenerative arthritis): If you have rhuematoid arthritis, no doubt you would be receiving different type of care.
I am not aware of which joints are affecting you more...There may be some advantages/treatment with respects to a specific area involved.
Generally, condroiton-glucosamine can't hurt. Recent FDA evaluations site that it is effective for moderate to severe symptoms ( of the knees). It works great for me whenever I aggravate something.
Anti inflammatories seem to have different amounts benefit in different individuals and some people's stomachs don't tolerate the dosing that they need. Over the counter meds are in such small increments that it takes a lot of pills to attain adequate dosing and gets very pricey ie. Ibuprofen 2800 mg/day...that equals about 14 OTC 200 mg tabs.
I have been lucky enough to find one that is tolerable in high doses and that only needs dosing 1-2 times per day but not an OTC....Relafen 500-750 mg 1-2 times a day. "Daypro" is very similar but is not always distributed in some parts of the country.
Some people feel that magnesium supplements help but has undesirable side effects in the doses required.
Hope this helps.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.
If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.
Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.
And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.
I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.
It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.
Today, I want to do the same for you!

First off,you shouldn't just take anything without consulting with a physician first. You could make the problem(s) worse than they already are.If you actually know for a fact, that you have this problem in your hands, feet,or any other body part(s),then see your personal care physician(s) first and foremost before doing anything your body may regret later.Your doctor can check your problems, diagnose them with you,and write you the proper procedures and medications needed to take care of any problems you do or may have.Do the right thing, see the doctor, take the right meds they write out for you,and most important take care of this matter A.S.A.P. Your Body Will Thank You For It Later On.

Two actually, first one to control the swelling and the second to control the pain. Serratia Peptidase and Pennsaid, good luck. Oh yes the first one is a natural product that you will have to get from a health food store and the second from the drug store.

What type of arthritis do you have- inflammatory or Rheumatoid? If it's inflammatory, I would suggest Ibuprofen; if it's Rheumatoid, I would recommend an herb called Devil's Claw.
