I was not stuffed with food when I went to bed last night, and I never drink alcohol in any form. But about 3 hours after I fell asleep, while I was sleeping on my back, I started vomiting in my sleep! I jumped up and ran to the bath room. It took me a few seconds to get a grip on it enough to make it stop. This has never happen to me before. I've never been one to make myself vomit (I hate that). It's been almost 24 hours since this happened and I don't feel sick so I know I don't have the flu. Has this happen to anyone else? I've never heard of such a thing. Please advise me. Carol

I have had that before, I would check to see If you were pregnant, If not, Do you have any pain anywhere? I have woken up, vomited, gone back to sleep and been fine. I could be your stomach just not liking what you ate, acid reflux or any number of things. If it is a continuous problem I would consult your DR if not i wouldn't worry about it. sometimes it just happens

you could have just had something like acid reflux. I have had that happen sometimes. It could also have just been a fluck thing that happened like you meant to burp in your sleep or something like that. I wouldnt worry much about it. My sister has had this happen a few times.

You had a sensual dream featuring Rosie O'donnell. Happens to everyone one time or another.

be careful - vomiting in your sleep can cause you to inhale it into your lungs, causing pneumonia, or ... worse.

Usually that happens with hopeless alcoholics though, and you said you don't drink, so i guess it was just a fluke.

consider it an isolated incident and forget it.
