It felt like the muscle was uncontrollably contracting as hard as it could. The muscle was pretty huge. I clasped my hands around both sides and squeezed on it to try to control the pain. Through my hands it felt like my heart was beating with the beats originating in my leg.

Anyway, this went away after about 2 minutes. What the hell? I haven't eaten much at all in the past 3 days due to illness, so maybe it's lack of minerals?

I know this sounds crazy but it is 100% true. I was in Bakersfield CA about a year ago. I stayed in a suite with a bed and a seperate room with a couch. As I was taking a short nap on the sofa, I woke up. After a few minutes of being awake, I got up and felt a slight stinging on my foot, right below my ankle on the outside of my foot. I looked down and there was this very flat reddish bug. As I gave a closer look, I noticed that it was actually eating through my skin and digging/eating down into my foot. This bug was not very large, probably 1/4" long and a few centimeters wide. It had several legs on each side. Anyways, I freaked out. My husband came running and tried to get it out. He pulled half of it out of my skin but the head stayed in, he finally smashed it and got it out. The problem is, I am terrified now. I always think something is crawling on me, and I am constantly checking for something trying to eat me. If anyone has ANY info on this insect please tell. I can't sleep

Problem is, I'm a rubbish sleeper. Particularly when I'm sharing a bed. My latest g/f of about 2 months, moves a lot in the night and murmurs and stuff.

Im so knackered the next day each time I see her. Please dont suggest earplugs as I find them uncomfortable and innefective.

Does anyone else have a problem sleeping next to someone else?

How do you solve it?

Look how many deaths are caused by alcohol,
Drink driving cars / train drivers / etc,
Alcoholism, creating liver damage etc etc,

Especially with the current 'Alco-pops' targeting kids.

With so many people abusing alcohol, why are their no concerns over it??

Or does the UKs Banning of smoking in pubs help this issue??

Alcohol dependancy is a massive and growing problem.

Aside this it generally makes people aggressive. Yet the government allows TV Advertising etc etc

Apparently in the U.S more people die through Alcohol than all other drugs put together.. (O.k This is due to the fact its most popular, but hey, governments LOVE stats!)

It is so very moving and makes you realise just how precious life is and should be revered. Does anyone in your family have or had either of these dreadful diseases and what do you think about the government in the UK witholding drugs that can help those in the early stages of Dementia.?

My Mother never suffered with either but my dear Gran did and it was just so awful watch her deteriorate knowing there was nothing we could do, but care for her daily needs.

We are involved in a horse riding operation. We have been breeding horses for riding. We have decided to suspend this temporarily because it seems like a percentage of the foals that are born develop "club foot" in one or two of the front feet after 3-4 months. We have consulted our vet and he says that it is not genetic. Rather "as a result of nutrition". If it were genetic, then immediately upon birth, the "defect" will be visible. The vet also said that the problem is that the pastern (?) bone at the age of 3 months onward grows faster than the soft ligament at the back of the leg w/c now restricts and causes the foot to be restrained. The procedure to correct this is to cut the soft ligament to now cause the hoof to open or go forward or remove the "club foot" appearance. In a matter of a month or two, the inner ligament will connect and grow and the hoof will be normal. Question: Is there any truth to this?

I went to my doctor, he put me on medication but said it would take a bit to work. I had another one last night before I started the meds. Supposed to get an MRI today & EEG on Friday. I do have a brain tumor, but we don't know if that's causing it or not.

If I have another one, should I go to the ER?
