My dad needs something, but thinks they will cost an arm and a leg. Instead he buys a surround sound speaker system for a tv he hardly ever watches. I tell him he needs hearing aids instead, so he can here real people and not just the tv. He said he thought they cost thousands of dollars. I didn't think they did. Do you know?

I have to say that if i see an animal mistreated, in distress, dead, sad, and in poor condition it would upset me more than if it were a human.

I could see a human shooting himself in the head and not feel much towards it. But if i see an animal shot in the head then i would be devastated.

I think it might be because animals cant really help themselfs and us humans think that the planet is ours and we can do whatever we like.

Its just kinda weird when i can watch someone being shot etc and not feel much and if i see for example a cow being slaughtered it makes me feel sick.

Am i weird that i dont feel much for people, I have watched alot of stuff with violence etc one exception i feel great sadness for is executions of the jews in WW2, that cuts me up real bad.

Anyone else feel this way??

Thanks

My husband received an organ from a generous human being.
Have you thought about being an organ donor?
If you have, does your friends and family know? Have you put it on the driver's license? Have you put the card in your wallet or purse? Have you mentioned it in your will?
It is amazing how many people one person can save.
Have you thought about it?

I know but I already asked in the pets category but please help anyway!

My pomeranian is 1 year old. She always seems like an energentic and happy puppy but today I was sick and stayed home from school. This morning I knew something was wrong because she would not get out of bed. Then I ate breakfast and she didn't want any of my food (Unusual for her) This aftertoon she threw up 3 or 4 times but it was not vomit with food in it because she has not ate today. It was like foamy spit. Then she starting throwing up spit that was browish red. All together she has threw up about 6 times and I'm really scared. I called the vet all he said was as long as it was spit and not actual food it was fine but it still worries me. What should I do and has anyone else had this happen to their pet

I need to use the restroom right away. Doesn't seem to be a huge problem. Rather annoying though.

I went to the Dr. two weeks ago with a sore throat. Strep test was negative. I was given a steroid shot and a shot of penicillin. Felt great for 10 days. The last three days I have had the above symptoms and have started on an antibiotic. My throat and ear pain is so bad, tylenol and advil aren't helping.

Here's a question from a nurse for nursing students and anyone who thinks they can correctly answer it: Every artery in the body carries oxygenated blood except for the two pulmonary arteries. Veins carry deoxygenated blood, so why isn't this blood carried by the pulmonary veins?

I do! When sitting in a chair, for instance, at mealtime or at a desk, I will often discover that I start to "jiggle" or "bounce" one of my legs rapidly. I do this by lifting my foot up onto the "ball" (behind the big toe) and rapidly flexing my calf muscle. In so doing my leg jiggles up and down rapidly. I will start to do this without even realising it. My wife and work colleagues have often drawn attention to this calling it "nervous energy". Does anyone else do this? Is there some kind of medical reason behind it? Or am I just fidgety?

The doctor says it's irritable bowel, but none of the Gas-X or IBS meds seem to to help the gas. It gets so trapped and I need to lie down on floor to relieve it. It's been going on for over 15 yrs. None of the tests showed anything. Any suggestions? Please, only serious answers. This is such a debilitating condition. Thanks!
