I know but I already asked in the pets category but please help anyway!

My pomeranian is 1 year old. She always seems like an energentic and happy puppy but today I was sick and stayed home from school. This morning I knew something was wrong because she would not get out of bed. Then I ate breakfast and she didn't want any of my food (Unusual for her) This aftertoon she threw up 3 or 4 times but it was not vomit with food in it because she has not ate today. It was like foamy spit. Then she starting throwing up spit that was browish red. All together she has threw up about 6 times and I'm really scared. I called the vet all he said was as long as it was spit and not actual food it was fine but it still worries me. What should I do and has anyone else had this happen to their pet

It's important for you to fully describe your dog's behavior to the vet on the phone. Tell him that she's lethargic (not getting out of bed) and not eating.

Also, he may have been confused by you saying "spit," sometimes busy professionals aren't fully listening, which is sad. If he had been, he would have understood that you likely meant "bile." Which is the fluid our stomach creates to soften food, and is the same stuff we throw up when we've already emptied our stomachs of food.

Make sure your pup has clean drinking water readily available and call the vet back saying that you don't think you were properly understood, or that your pup's condition has changed. Little dogs need help quickly when something is wrong, they just don't have the reserves that larger animals do.

Good luck, and stick to it, your pup needs to be seen.

You should find another vet because if your dog is throwing up a lot you should definately have her seen by a professional. Some days my dog does throw up after eating nothing and it is usually bile but he does have a very sensitive system. I would recommend that you take your dog to the vet, maybe she needs something to soothe her tummy. If she continues not to eat that could be a sign of a problem as well. I hope she gets better, just take her to the vet and she should be fine.

Yack happens. Feel her nose. If it's warm she may have the same illness that you did. 24 hr stomach virus or something.

If it persists then take her to the vet.

She might have parvo. Take her to a vet. Brownish red may indicate blood which is never good.
