I went to the Dr. two weeks ago with a sore throat. Strep test was negative. I was given a steroid shot and a shot of penicillin. Felt great for 10 days. The last three days I have had the above symptoms and have started on an antibiotic. My throat and ear pain is so bad, tylenol and advil aren't helping.

Blisters in the throat are indicative of 3 things. Either Strep, Mono or an Apthous Ulcer. If it's back I suggest getting re-tested and talk to your Doctor. Hope you feel better

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Get back to the doctor for a reevaluation. Your antibiotics should make a difference in 2 days.
