Although I don't have a complete answer for you, I found this interesting. I googled "febrile seizure anemia" and it appears there may be a higher occurence of febrile seizures in kids who are anemic. Here is a related link...just google those words for more info.

Background: Febrile seizure is the most common convulsive disorder which occurs in 2% to 4% of children. Although the exact etiology of febrile seizure is unknown, some risk factors such as anemia have been reported. Due to high occurrence of febrile seizure in this area and because of the controversial result regarding the relationship between anemia and febrile seizure in pervious researches, this study was carried out to determine this relationship.

febrile convulsions are very common in children as they have no way of controling their temp, also it is the bodys way of fighting infection which is what the other symptoms sound like & a temp of 38 is not dangerous as 37 is a childs normal temp.
stick with it whilst the meds for the anemia kicks in but always get her checked out if she has a seizure.
Good luck

Oh dear!

What I would like to know is why that baby isn't being kept in the hospital. Whatever he has, he is very sick! I can't say I blame him for being grumpy.

I'm not a doctor, but the youngest of my nephews had a host of medical problems, until an X-Ray tech spotted a tumor growing around his spine. The last time I saw him, he was growing well and quite lively.

Good luck!

My two eldest both suffered febrile convulsions for the first three/four years of life. Can be quite worrying! they were prone to infections and my son would convulse at quite low temperatures, whilst my daughter had to get to above 40 before she convulsed. Both grew out of them.

Get an appointment with a paediatrician to put your mind at rest. They can eliminate other more worrying illnesses.

We found rest, lots of fluids and a very healthy diet helped ward of infections - and reduce incidence of convulsions.

Good luck with it - it is very scary to watch your baby convulse. Most grow out of it with no long term effects.

Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause a lot of that-
keep pestering the docs for an answer though,
as a desperate measure maybe try the clinic below-though you will have to pay-
