I am a 20 year old female and I usually get 8-10 hours of sleep a night and when I wake up I just don't want to get up and I'm VERY tired all day. I'm very active - I'm a youth program assistant and I play softball so I'm always running or doing something. But over the last 4 or 5 months I just haven't been the same. I also have trouble focusing, I just kind of stare off.

I'm worried if I go to a doctor they will tell me I'm crazy and nothing is wrong with me.

Can anyone tell me what the problem may be and what type of doctor I need to go to and what should I say?

Thank you SOO much!

Basically at school (we're in 6th form and between 17-19 years of age) we have a huge friendship group. Theres this particular guy who throughout the 2 years would have mood swings and always seek attention. Now its become much worse! Basically he just needs to constantly be with agirl. So he's asked out almost all of our female friends out, HE DOES NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! THE GIRLS THAT HE PICKS ON ARE OFTEN SIMPLE AND HE KNOWS THAT THEY WOULD NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE!

AT FIRST HE WOULD BULLY THE PARTICULAR GIRL LIKE THROW A JUG OF WATER ON HER IN PUBLIC AND MAKE OUT THAT HE WAS THE VICTIM AND HE WAS MADE TO ACT IN THIS WAY AND HE ACTS ALL GOOD IN FRONT OF ALL OF US. THEN HE MOVED ONTO ANOTHER GIRL AND SAID SOME QUITE PERSONAL OFFENSIVE THINGS TO HER, HE ASKED HER OUT TO THE PROM AND SHE'S VERY SIMPLE AND HE SAID NO AND HE STARTED SWEARING AT HER BY TEXTS AND EMAILS BUT NEVER IN FRONT OF ANY OF US. NOW HE HAS MOVED ONTO THE 3RD GIRL.

I am a straight man with a shoe fetish. I am also happily married to a woman who is fully aware of it. I have had this fetish for as long as I can remember. I mean it is hardwired in my brain and I can't get rid of it. I know, I have tried. I have spoken to psychologists about it, and they tell me that many people have fetishes, and that it is OK to enjoy it as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Why are some people so disgusted by something like this? Why are guys with shoe or foot fetishes seen as perverted and potentially dangerous? In every major news story in the last several decades, I have never heard that the perpetrator of the crime had a shoe fetish. What is so bad about having a shoe fetish or a foot fetish? We do however give the best foot massages. Also, most men raise hell because their wife has too many shoes. Not me!

I’ve read several books and still can’t find a way to stop procrastinating. I do it with everything. Anyone else know this pain? It’s killing me and I’m wasting my life away because of it. Help.

I am continuing with therapy, just quit smoking and drinking, but feel I need to do more about my physical and emotional well-being. Besides eating well and exercise, what other things could I do to start on the road to a better life? What would you do?

I am a published writer (fiction and non-fiction); I also have ADHD. I get about five story ideas a day. I want to write all five but I obviously can't. I finally tried a strategy where I start writing one on a yellow pad, then when one story takes the forefront, I just draw a line under what I've been writing and start the next story, then go back to the first or ahead to the third -- in other words, I just follow my thought process. This seems to work ok, but is there a way for me to stick to one story at a time, and keep the other ones 'in storage' even though they keep popping out? I take meds already by the way.

How do you help a family member who hoards compulsively? My father's house is a risk to his health and safety. The volume of mess impedes movement around the house as well as the rooms' function (ie- he can't cook in the kitchen because there's 5 feet of clothes piled upon the stove, or shower in the bathroom because there's stuff stored in the tub, etc). But what really worries me is the health risks that I just know are lurking in every crevice: animal waste, mold, mildew, rotting food, bugs, and God knows what else. I'm also worried that he's going to trip over his stuff and hurt himself. And as for being a fire hazzard, I know he'd never make it out in time. I've tried cleaning his house for him, but I have since come to understand the futility of doing so. The mess just comes back without treating the underlying cause of WHY he lives this way. What can I do to help him? Are there support groups I can steer him towards? Advice and links would be appreciated...
