There is a lot of office politics and power struggles going on at work. So many times I have the chance to gossip or say something that I know is inappropriate. 99% of the time I keep my mouth shut. How do I control the other percent? I need some serious suggestions or ways to control my behavior.

ok i know it sounds wierd, but whenever i see a word or number, it has its own color and emotion. like the number 7 is green and its always happy. and the word "number" is orange and its a snob. idk i that makes sense, but if it does, what is this called? do u know anyone that has this too? do u have it? can i get any help for it, or should i juts let it go? do u know any websites i can go to to learn more about this? cuz this thing messes me up, like when im reading, im not very good at it because all the words are black, and it bugs me, so i have to the time to figure out the color of the word and it takes forever! ugh i dont know what to do, help!

I have not really achieved my educational goals. I haven't really studied and I have time to do it. It no longer stimulates me. I'm having trouble concentrating. It has been three months and I am failing college. My professors all give me the same answer because I don't tell them my whole story. They tell me that "I have the will power to change, that I need to set small goes for myself." I already know that, but can not come to achieve that. I appear very happy at times and apathetic. So they probably think I'm a jerk. Am I? Am I depressed or am I a careless *****? I no longer know who I am.

What are the signs? Why does it have to be a suicide situation to get some psychiatrists to help you. I mean it has taken over a month for me to see a psychiatrist. By now I have given up in a lot of things and it has greatly affected my work. Mixed emotions.

I know you all probably hear this all the time here from other people but I still feel like I should at least type this out and get it out a little. I'm depressed tonight.... I've actually made a lot of improvement, I suffer from depression for over 10 years and am finally getting a lot better than I was before. (I don't get depressed as often or as badly as i used to.) But I feel really down tonight, I think I will cry myself to sleep which I haven't done since middle school. (i'm 21 now) It's just that I don't feel like my life is ever going to amount to anything.... I've never had a girlfriend and the one time I fell in love I got hurt. I recently got this job that everyone seems to hate me at.... I don't know why-I swear i'm trying to do the right thing. I'm a loner- but not really by choice- I just don't know how to talk to people. What should I do?

Dr. Micheal Savage has proven that liberalism is a mental disorder. So how can we solve it? How can we help those enslaved to this mental disease? What can be done to let them live a product, and healthy future rest of their lives?

I'm just 23 years young, almost 24. My hair is graying rapidly and I'm starting to get wrinkles under my eyes. I seem to always be stressed out in life, but I wouldn't ever classify it as depressed. I just want to restore my body and start feeling my actual age, instead of mid 30's which is what I actually feel like.

I have taken various psych drugs in the past but never stayed on them. Because I am very bothered about the idea of them being perscribed without any real tests being preformed. I think it is wrong for someone be giving me these drugs after only having spoken to me. And every doctor I see comes up with a new diagnosis, new list of drugs and says they other doctor was all wrong. It makes it hard to trust their jugement. And it's not like I'm getting lousy doctors. They're all very qualified from good schools etc. It's just that no one really seems to know what's wrong with me.

I keep reading things online about people having taken psych drugs for years only to discover later that it was not from a "chemical imbalance" at all it was something else like a tumor etc.
So I feel like this time I should rule out other things before trying a new drug

Has anyone made this sort of request?
What was your doctor's reaction?
What sort of tests would the be likly to preform?

Anyone else get super restless sitting at a desk all day? I do have enough work so that is not the issue.

I am 20, and about to fly on a plane for the first time, and I am kind of nervous. I am thinking of going to a doctor and asking if he can give me a pill to calm my nerves. Will he believe me and can he give me something, or will he think I am a pill popper? What do you think?

My sister is ill, there is a history of mental illness in my family especially on one side. My sister seems to have gotten a double dose of it. We all love her dearly but for our own health, well-being and peace of mind we have to distance ourselves from her. Its not that we havent tried to have a relationship with her its that every single time one of us tries to do so... she does something to hurt, belittle or just plain treat us like crap. Everytime I speak to her she gets on these fanatical rants about "the family" and how either me or my mom should be telling everyone else how to behave and live their life etc. She tells people that my brother beat her and me, even though thats completely untrue, she says horrible things about my mom, our other siblings, and everyone in general constantly. She tells her friends these absolutely horrible stories about our family life that are completely untrue. Its hurtful and sad, I want her to be part of my life, we all do but how can we help her
