Exercise can often release endorphins in the body, and can make you feel better about yourself and your life. If you start exercising regularly, you'll probably find that your depression, while it won't disappear entirely if it's "clinical depression, you should see a significant improvement.

Well...you definetly need to get help asap....You can call a suicide hotling toll free.....Look a number up in the yellow pages of your phonebook...I would suggest admitting yourself into a drug rehab program b/c untill you can get clean no "good" phycologist will treat you for depression...The reason being that depression and other mental issues are sometimes brought on by drugs...Your first step would be to adress the fact that you are suicidal...You may also consider contacting a mental health hospital where you may need to say a week or so...Depending on what your choice of drug is (heroin ect.) they should be able to start you off with a detox where they will give you meds to counteract the withdrawls...As for not having insurance, obviously you will have to pay for this but they should bill you for treatment....
Good Luck and keep your head up...Think about those whom would be hurt if you was gone...You can recover from your pain!!!
And don't listen to what the asss holes are saying....They obviously was more fortunant and don't know or understand what it is like to suffer...They are the selfish ones for being such asses!!

HELP IS AVAILABLE and you will eventually get better if you also continue to help yourself...you're first attempt to help yourself was by reaching out and asking this question...good for you! If you are willing to work hard and hang in there, I promise you, things WILL get better. I'm 34 years old and I suffered from depression for 5 years. I still get bouts of depression now and then but I just do my exercises and remind myself that the feelings are just temporary and will soon go away. By exercises I mean, getting outside in the sunlight, walking, cutting out all junk food and eating more fruits and veggies, calling a friend or family member who understands or at least can be supportive. Sometimes you literally are just waiting it out. If you have a drug addiction, you may need to enter a rehabilitation center. I know this seems scary and lonely...but think of the alternative. I'm sure right now you already feel scared and alone. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Millions of people feel just like you and they all think they're the only ones! Yes it sucks that you have been stricken with this disease...but if you over come it (and you can) then you will be a better person for it. You will have a knowledge and a compassion and a strength that people who never had to battle it don't and never will have. You can do it! God Bless You! One thing that really helped me a lot and that I wish I had earlier was a book called: The Depression Workbook by Edmund J. Bourne

believe it or not there are so many people out there in your position. You take drugs to get away form reality you hate being OK because its when you get bored and don't know what to do. You hate being on drugs because you want to have a healthier and better life style. You want help but the first person and thing that will help you is YOU. You need your self in the first place you need to eat sleep be well and taken care of. So what you don't have insurance so what if you think that you are depressed. Depression is triggered out of boardroom and anxiety over what to do where to go. Look with in you remember the people you love and people that love you. Remember the things you cared for and enjoyed. Its not hard I was in your situation and now I am happy. Never again will what ever people call depression or drug problems come my way. Remember people are given obstacles so that they can overcome them and you are no different you would not be given this situation and problem if some one out there didn't believe you can do and come out of it. I believe you can!!!
Good Luck

# 1 - Money (Feelings of lowlyness-Drug dependency is far more often associated with people of lower incomes (me) . Making more money will of course require you to set and acheive goals...Acheiving goals takes your focus off lowly thougths(Depression)
# 2 - Get Away - People always say "You have to meet the problems head on." Their somewhat right and wrong..u have to face your problems etc to change your situation. However a person dealing with multiple problems in a poor mental state is highly unlikely to be able to do this. Get away go to a different enviroment clear your head come back then deal with your problems.
#3 Find a (New) Girl - Women especially "new ones" have a gift for taking a man`s mind and sometimes sanity away.
Insurance -
Find a community hospital and apply for the free insurance for the unemployed. Reasearch is the key factor here. Finding a good community hospital is difficult. With no money you have Navigate through the process.

Go to the ER asap! I had to go myself because of similar issues. A social worker from the county came and accessed me, and got me immediate help with the county mental health service that is on a sliding scale, the county paid for my entire hospital stay because of my income. Now I go to regular therapy and also see a psychiatrist, all on the county's dime. I am so grateful that I went to the ER,as soon as I got there I made sure that they called the social worker/crisis counselor also , she was there in about 20 minutes.
Go right away, don't let yourself get any worse. Don't listen to half the people that have answered your question, if you are depressed you can't just "snap out of it" that is a load of crap said by people that have no clue what real depression is. It's not just feeling sad or blue, it's a mental illness, just like diabetes is an illness that needs to be treated, so is depression!

first i would pray and ask God to help. He will help you what ever you are going through. It may not seem like but he is there. Drug dependency, if you need help try really wanting to change that feeling for wanting drugs. Weigh the options and decide if that is what you really want OFF DRUGS. I too am in recovery and I have homeless issues. I have 2 jobs, I have been clean for 2 years. It will work if you work it. Go to Connect Care and you will not pay anything, or Grace Hill on Lemp. You can get medical attention if you don't have funds. GOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Any hospital should take you as long as you are suicidal (I think its stupid but its true, you have to say you are suicidal).
I know someone who went, and they turned him away because he said he was not Suicidal, just depressed BIG TIME!! I was so mad when he told me that, cuz he really wanted help.
Please make sure you get help, I would hate for something bad to happen to you. Life may not be great, but its worth living. I'm sure you have family and friends who would miss you so much and losing you could hurt them so much. Please don't cause that kind of pain, I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who love you.
Keep smiling :) The day will get better!

HI! I'm not sure about the health insurance because I don't know where you live.
Let me tell you something though: If I was having a heart attack I would rush to the nearest hospital regardless of insurance.
Feeling of suicide almost always requires immediate attention. It is not about insurance anymore but about life and death.

Depends on where you live.. in Illinois our Mental health facilities are income based! But usually you can get help from calling a suicidal hot line too.. My advise would be to call you nearest Mental Health facility and talk to them.. worry about payment later! Good luck!
