Okay like in my other questions about what to do with my depression problems, i am offically NOT going to any counseling or seeing an adult (out of my own decision). So are there ways to get help without reaching an adult? Are there ways to stop cutting without counseling?

once again for those who answer: thanks

My ex said I have mood swings and am always hot or cold. I think this is partly true but I think he may just be being mean to me. I don't have really high "manic" periods, I just consider that normal. Much of the time I am depressed though, withdrawn, tired, lazy, eat a lot. When I am feeling "normal" I do have a high sex drive and I like to shop a lot. I also have a bad temper. I am worried these are symptoms but I have no health insurance.

I live in a small room with a kitchen. Dishes are not done. They have been there for a week or so. Clothes are spread across the floor from one side of the room to the other. Paper is clutered everywhere on the floor. Everywhere I look I see empty food packets and open drink bottles. On the floor I can even identify cutlery. Don't mention the smell from the bins-that have been there for ages. Don't mention my sink counter- probably a bacterial breeding ground. My bedlinen hasn't been washed for-I don't know how long.

oh. I don't want to live like this! Please give me your life or tell me how to turn 180 degrees!

depression.I was there for him for much of it. He never was treated professionally. We are 29 yrsold and he had gotten a one night stand pregnant before we met. When I helped him come to terms with it, he left me to be with the mother of his child. She played her part well, she manipualted him into thinking he should have been there,& what he missed out on.He turned so coldly to me,& said hurtful things, I couldnt believe.Like that we were never really together & did I think it was really going to work between us!! WE had nothing but love for each other.I couldnt beleive he was saying this to me for complete trash. Now, he found out she lied to him about her childhood saying she was raped, molested. & he ended the relationship with her. But now he cant and wont even talk to me now. First I want to know how could he turn on me like that? Is it part of depression? at least he could have been respectful, I was shocked. Also,do you think he is ashamed, emabarrased? I want to understand.

My wife is bi-polar and has CP. the primary indicator of her CP is her myo-clonus. The medication she takes for her bi-polar increases her jerkiness to the point she has a hard time typing and drinking from a cup. Her psychiatrist has given her depakote for this. Other med are lithium, klonopin, effexor xr, and luvox. Over the weekend the Dr also decreased her lithium from 300 in the am and 450 HS to 150 am and 300 HS. My wife is still exhibiting signs of mania---not sleeping, not eating, running thoughts, hypersexuality, and anger. What should I do? What can i do with the myoclonus problem and her mania? Her Dr. is not really listening and there is only 4 other psychiatrists on my island --live one the big island of Hawaii.

My sister has some issues. there is some talk amongst our family that she should get "anger management counceling".

However she has refused this as she feels that if we were supportive of her we would accept that she is a "yeller".

I don't think she gets that yelling is somewhat harsh to the "yellee", let alone her children. also she sometimses goes beyond just yellng.

So anyway, this "anger management counceling" would probably only happen if we were to take the drastic step of getting her commited.

I don't want to do anything that drastic if it isn't going to work, hence my question.

Does it?
