one more thing i promise...another thing is that when she feels little things she makes 'em bigger than they really are and is always worrying that the things will get bad. like for example if she gets a little pain she is worrying because she doesn't wanna die at a young age...the answers i have been getting have been really good but for the most part she is not sooooo anxious just sometimes...u guys make it seem like this is 24/7 maybe i just havent explained myself correctly and sry for that. thx everyone for ur help....so pretty mcuh she just needs to calm herself and stop worrying about small things because its normal to feel things once in a while??? just cuz u feel something doesnt mean ur gonna die??

I have a solo presentation next week for my Advanced General Psychology class, which needs to be at least an hour long. I will be presenting with a Powerpoint presentation, so I will have some guidance. I have a problem with giving any kind of presentations/speeches in front of people, which is not uncommon, I know. I tend to absolutely panic while up there though. I constantly feel as if I'm going to pass out due to fast heartbeats and shallow breathing. Does anyone have any tips to help me overcome this horrible thing?

I have trouble making decisions. It seems that I think way too hard and analyze every detail and still cannot make a sound decision about major things like relationships, changing jobs, etc. I can make everyday decisions just fine, but really struggle with the big ones. My sister-in-law said this is a symptom of depression, but I'm not depressed. What is your opinion?

An acquaintance of mine had a hysterectomy a few months back and now can no longer identify as female. She(or "it" as she self-identifies)won't use a women's bathroom and will go out of her way to find a unisex one, nor will she wear skirts anymore. She even wants to have her driver's license changed so that there is no gender entry on it. A lot of people find this far-fetched, but she("it")just cannot relate with their viewpoint. Any thoughts on this?

My wife recently left me after 24 years of marriage. She had become addicted to meditation spending 6 to 8 hours in deep meditation each day. She became a different person and didn't seem to be able to relate on an emotional level. It was like she was drugged or flattened in personality. She was also trying to channel information from her higher self and my fear is that she may have gone too far and become mentally ill. Now she is cut off from me and our daughter. Can meditation have a down side?

I was wondering if it's possible to have a grammar OCD? I have no idea if I'm obsessed or obsessed to the point of OCD. When I'm sitting in a lecture, if there's a misuse of something such as their/there on the powerpoint slide, I'll stop listening and focus on that and try to distract myself, except usually that causes me to think about other similar mistakes that people have made around me recently. By the time I'm remotely focused again I've missed a chunk of the lecture.

Now for example, I just had a massive argument with an American friend over the common misuse of lay/lie and I couldn't just stop and shut up, or back off. It frustrates me and stresses me out to the point that until I started typing I was alternately tapping my pen repeatedly on the desk and tugging on my clothing. Most of the time I try to keep my mouth shut but it doesn't usually work.

Sometimes I'll refuse to watch a movie/listen to music if it has bad grammar!

Could that be an OCD or am I just obssessed?

How do you know if they are telling the truth (i.e.not illusion)? How come all people see ghosts will generally/usually asked to see psychiatrist, but not a pastor/Rev./Father? Those depicted in movie,"John Constantine" are true? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

So I like this guy, my best friends older 19 yr old brother. Me and my best friend are both 17, and seniors. He is not in college and he works at our school as a maintance person. That might be weird, but whatever. Its not because their dad is the head engineer & so thats how he got the job.

Anyways. I know my friend would be tottaly cool if I told her I liked him, but She has a HUGE mouth, so I dont want to tell her because she'll tell all her other relatives, and that would be embarassing if he didnt feel the same way.

So, how can I tell how he feels about me without being obvious?
Are there any signs that might point out that he likes me as more that "just his sissy's friend"?

He's 19, like I said, and I'm 17, I'm not planning on having s.e.x with him or anything, so I dont think the whole "jail biat" things plays in here...

the government will fund alcoholics and drug addicts when they're coming off whatever their habit is, so does that mean that if I go to my doctor and tell him I'm addicted to chips he will prescribe me chips for the rest of my life? I think he should.
