Get her help. Maybe a councilor or something. Just tell her that life is to short to worry all the time and there is this saying I no. Its says "Living in fear, Fear of living they are the same thing and either way you have no life" tell her she needs to loosen up a little and have some fun

Sounds to me like she's having agoraphobia. Is she irrationally worried/scared about those stuff? According to Wikipedia:

"Agoraphobia is a form of anxiety disorder, the abnormal fear of expecting or experiencing a difficult or embarrassing situation from which the sufferer cannot find an escape."

"Agoraphobia can be successfully treated in many cases through a very gradual process of graduated exposure therapy combined with cognitive therapy and sometimes anti-anxiety or antidepressant medications. Anti-anxiety medications include benzodiazepines such as alprazolam. Anti-depressant medications which are used to treat anxiety disorders are mainly in the SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) class such as sertraline, paroxetine and fluoxetine. Treatment options for agoraphobia and panic disorder are similar."

I suffer from this same problem. The biggest key is to look at each individual thing and try to evaluate it and see if it is really worth worrying over. Then you look at those things that you can do something about, and do it! This helps mentally in dealing with those things you have no control over, because you know you are at least doing what you can.

see if your cousin can see a counselor or psychiatrist to talk with. these people are especially trained to deal with mental/emotional problems that come up. i'm sure your cousin and well as the rest of your family would feel much better once this is taken care of.

Well, it could be a lot of things...but I think it sounds like anxiety. Have her got to doctor...tell him her symptoms.....there are some meds that make it better. Doc might even suggest counseling.

Good luck....your being a wonderful cousin.

She's a Hypochondriac. Meaning that you worry about your health, etc. I am a Hypochondriac, and I don't know anything that can really stop these feelings. Perhaps talk to somebody? I hope this helps!

im a worry wort as well, and i try to combat it by rebelling. it dont work though. hey someone has to worry. or nothing gets planned, solved,or dealt with. i just should and try to only worry about mine and i nowadays, but friends are mine as well. ive also worried myself to the point of going on a brain vacation. well i believe in numbers. if every1 says something, you start seeing their viewpoint, and ignoring your own common sense,it happens.

ive never been much of a hypochondriac, but these last 3 yrs(roughly) wow, i guess. scared the l out of me. simple minds, simple problems, ping

Tell her to stay focused on her goals and her own thoughts which she CAN control, rather then the things that are happening around her which she CANNOT control. It is more productive and less stressful.

It is possible she may have general anxiety disorder, GAD.

Here's an online screen to see if it's anxiety. http://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/anx.html . She may want to speak with a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
