Most likely you don't have a 'mental condition.' Unless this has happened to you prior to this and more once. Many times when we are stressed or just having an intensely deep conversation, our minds protect us from overload: either from feelings or thoughts or both.
There is a good chance that you will remember what was told to you at some point in the future...probably at the oddest times. Then again, you may never remember a lot of what was said. That isn't a bad thing in most cases. If you never remember, it may not have been necessary for you to hear at the time...and may never be necessary for you to know.
Don't worry, it isn't Multiple Personality Disorder. If it were that, you would have had many other experiences of gaps in your memory. (of course, I am assuming you haven't...sorry, not polite to assume)
If you had Multiple Personality Disorder, there are many additional symptoms as well as memory lapses.

I used to have a really good memory, but since I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, nothing to do with my memory, everything since then became very vague. So I don' think it is a mental condition, more like you have been really stressed and things just aren't as easy to remember from that time.

Sometimes, when we talk, it's to get rid of certain emotions couped up inside of us. When this emotion is gone, the thought goes to. Similarly, half the stuff you hear you forget, but the person who told you feels better.
In a stressfull relationship, there are lots of arguments, and what is said in an argument is usually forgotten and mostly, shouldn't have been said.
If human nature is a mental condition, then save me a bunk in your cell.

i think you are having a mental block, as it was a stressful time, the mind is pushing the memory back. its like being asked to remeber a song, you know it but cant remember at that time what it was etc.
try relaxing and not thinking about remember what you want to know, and some of it may return.
hope this helps

Its most likly that you have subconciously blocked the memories out due to the stress you were under.
chek out the M.I.N.D. website if you are worried
