Anyone's hand shake when writing in front others? Or when bringing the fork to your mouth when eating in front of others?

I have a fiancee who suffers from schizoaffective disorder, but I never saw his disease as a problem. His "bad moments" were never related to me and were never that bad-he's no different then any other person in their cranky days, only difference is that he has to take a medication for it.I'm doing everything to be by his side and understand him as much as I can and I enjoy it!We share love that i never though i could have with anyone. We are soulmates! He is always there for me and together we try to appriciate the little things in life-what makes us so happy.
I'm curious to know if there are other men/women who's partner is suffering some illness (mental of physical-and which?) and do they find it as a problem?Do their friends mind?I don't mind not even a bit, infact i have never been happier in my whole life. My friends and family see that, but I guess many people amaze by our or my couridge to have a relationship.Part of love is accapting good and bad sides that we all have!Isn't it?

much bothered me. I also worked in nursing home where I so many dear people pass away. But since my husband,I am being treated for depression, panic attacks, which have lessened but I still get pains and just feel nausious and lousy quite a lot. When I feel this way I think I'm going to have a heart attack also. Will this ever go away and can I ever feel like I used to? Please, its been three years!

And when there is no one else around to talk to, or you don't really know how to describe how you are feeling?

I can't concentrate if there is no noise, ie T.V.
If I turn the T.V. off or radio to work on the computer and to write I can only concertrate for about 10 mins then I have to stand up walk around and come back to it. I have recently been diagnosed with post traumatic stress but i never thought I had a problem concentrating. Is this normal? I know Wayne Rooney can't sleep if the hoover isin't turned on but I didn't think I was that bad!

ever since i was a kid ive been super paranoid. to this day (im 23 years old) I cant go to sleep or take a shower without checking the closet first. When I was a kid I used to lay in bed and worry that people would break in and murder me while I slept. I was worried about hidden cameras in bathrooms before they were making cameras small enough to hide. I still worry about people breaking in, and I hate going outside at night. I never watched scary movies as a kid and i still dont. I was super sheltered so where are these ideas coming from....what makes me so paranoid?

The strange thing about it is i dont usually dream about anything i thought of or anything familiar with my daily life.I dream of different things, love, fighting someone or a monster, running, having sex, being in a different country for tour, floating, being with family members and sometimes i laugh out loud or talk loud whilst in a deep sleep.I have been dreaming since childhood and i have seen my younger brother too talk and laugh or smiles in his sleep. What is this?? i want to understand where they come from.

At least two times a week, I go through these periods where, even if I feel tired, I simply can't fall asleep, and end up spending at least an hour limply laying in bed, then I end up going online or doing some homework, or whatever. The general problem seems to be that I experience metacognition (thinking all the time) about random bullshit, and it keeps me up. It ends up hurting me a little during the day...I get a little ornery, and my concentration gets a little fuzzy. It's been going on for maybe six months. Should I get some over-the-counter sleep aids? Know any home remedies? Thanks.

P.S. Physically, I don't think it's doing much. Maybe some bags under the eyes...here's a pic:

I know there have to be some good old fashioned overachiever types who also battle with pathological anxiety! Any advice on treatments/strategies that worked particularly well or badly?

I have generalized anxiety and panic disorder and for some (retrospectively) insane reason I decided to enter a competitive PhD program. So, a lot of self-imposed pressure and I'm basically trying to figure out how to manage it all without driving myself completely nuts.

I've been treated on and off for anxiety depending on how much it is impacting my day to day life. Right now I'm in the first few weeks of a Prozac regime (40 mg/day) because I don't tolerate Lexapro or Citalopram very well. My doctor also gave me an Rx for Klonopin, but I think he intends to wean me from it when the Prozac kicks in. The Klonopin has been working fantastically for the last few weeks, but since he probably won't keep me on it forever, I'd love some tips on how to balance anxiety with a heavy work load. Thanks!

My Mom's not well.
She has crippling arthritis. She has had it since I can remember. (I'm 19) However she also has a very very bad back. She has had several operations in the past 15 or so years, including a Spinal Fusion. However, lately due to the arthritis she has grown increasingly worse. It takes her 3 minutes to get out of the car.
She has been told that she now has 3 options.

- Continue getting injections into her spine. (These only give about 2 weeks of relief)
- Epidural (these are very painful and last just 3 weeks) or
- Surgery on the plates which are trapping the nerves in her back (This is very serious surgey which could lead to paralysis)

I try to be supportive. My father is doing his best too, however I also have medical problems which I am finding difficult to come to terms with.
I am really worried about everything.
I don't want to talk to anyone as I am the type of person who bottles everything up and deals with one thing at a time, but this is really....

I'm doing some research on modern psychiatry and the progression of various medications to treat mental illness. I can't seem to find any one website that lists all or even some by release/approval date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
