Too much of anything is not good, even sleep. Too much sleep will make you lethargic and can slow down your reflexes. Just enough sleep (8 hours /day) would be ideal.

The amount of sleep required is not universal; it changes with age, health, diet, weather, and seasons. Babies need to sleep more than 8 hrs. a day, for example, and older people may be unable to sleep more than 4-5 hours. Deep sleep restores the body, and the subconscious mind; medium-deep sleep allows our mind to sort out and organize its programming. Shallow sleep cleanses the conscious overload. So all stages are important when needed by our body and mind. There is no such thing as too much sleep, unless it is induced by some drugs, and no such thing as too little sleep, when the sleep is uninterrupted. So the amount of sleep your body-mind needs is good for your health an well being, and when we feel good, we look good so the connection between sleep and glamour exists. Some call it the beauty sleep. Be well!

That's not true. Your body requires some amount of sleep. For some it may be 6 hrs, some hrs and some even 10 hours. If you sleep more than that it will not be very beneficial for you. Normally an average person requires 8 hrs of sleep on an average.

No..too much sleep is not good for you....Keep 7 or 8 hours of sleep. The body needs to be productive...and so does the mind.
