I have been through a lot of meds, but did not find anything too helpful. I must say diazepam works a little.

I have taken 2 vicodin ES and 2 aleve Together. My pain is still bad. I have knee pain and an infected toe nail. I have been doing epsom salts for the toe and hot baths for the knee. I am waiting for my insurance to kick in the beginning of August. Is there anything else I can take. All I feel is loopy not pain free. I dont want to go right now because then it would be a preexisting condition. What else can I do?

Am I the only one who despite medical proof, gets the distinct impression that both these drugs are near useless?

Everytime I take them I feel like I'm spitting on a forest fire.

Upper thighs are very stiff. Works out with walking but...too much walking will make them sore again. Sitting for just a few minutes, then upon standing they are stiff again....untill walking then they loosen up. Then again.....too much walking, they stiffen up again. It's a no win situation!! I'm very frustrated!! Have been to Doc, Epidural injections, MRI of back(which showed degenerative disc disease and inflamation, which brings me to the epidural injection that did NOT help) So now they focus on the Hips ( Thinking dear old arthritis), NORMAL! I did not pull a muscle, strain a muscle, or anything else having to do with hurting my thigh and/or groin muscle! (I'm celebate). So c'mon ya'll, diagnose me!

Hi! We do not have health insurance right now and my daughter has severe abdominal attacks. For two years, we have wasted a lot of time and money on doctor visits that have not helped my daughter.

Recently she had another abdominal attack, related to her cycle. She gets them so bad that she ends up doubling over in pain, and often gets headaches and throws up. What's worse is that she's extremely allergic to ibuprofen and/or Motrin, and Pamprin. She's also allergic to citric acid and most fragrances.

Another issue that we recently discovered is that when she gets these pains, her abdomen gets really cold while the other parts of her body is warmer, or sometimes it's the opposite situation (abdomen extremely warm, but the rest of the body is cold).

She's been to several doctors and has even had an ultrasound and gall bladder study. All show nothing is wrong. The attacks last up to 2 to 4 hours and then afterwards she feels fine. Any suggestions?

I was doing laundry and was leaning over the washer when I heard a pop in my lower back and excruciating pain followed. I also have numbness and tingling down my left leg all the way down to my foot. I can barely move.

My knee is killing me! I don't know what happened to it, and I don't know what caused it. If i sit down and don't use it, it's fine but if i move it, it's very painful. I can't get up without it hurting and I'm walking with a limp. I have a knee brace, and that helps some. Can someone please help me? What do you think I have, is it serious and can you please give me any tips to ease the pain. I appreciate it

So my first day of work at a grocery store, being my first job, was today. I was so nervous, and I only got about 2-3 hours of sleep last night. I went to work, and it was slow in the morning, until the cheques started rolling out for the unemployed. I should also mention that I was dehydrated for a lot of the day. I tried not to drink much yesterday because sometimes when I do and am nervous I tend to pee literally every 10 minutes, and that wouldn't be a good first impression, so I took it the hard way and by the end of my 8 hour shift, I was in the most leg pain I have ever been in.

The pain was really bad, not just minor aches. These were massive earthquake volcano aches. I sat for maybe 20 minutes out of the 8 hours.

Again, I'm new to this.

Was the pain just me pulling a workload that I'm not used to? Or did the major lack of sleep and dehydration factor have any part in it?

I'd like to know to prepare better for tomorrow's shift.

Thank you.

I personally have them ranked (from most to least effective): Advil/Motrin, Aleve, Aspirin/Tylenol combos (Excedrin), Tylenol, Aspirin.

The reason I have Advil ranked first is because of the flexibility that you have with it. For example, if you have a minor headache, you can take 400mg and be fine. On the other hand, if you have a more serious injury, you can take 800mg at a time, and that 800mg is probably more effective than codeine, and even touching into lower dose Vicodin territory for effectiveness (in my opinion).

Your thoughts?

I am going to the doctor, don't worry, but in the meantime i have a question. One of my legs is markedly longer than the other. I get sciatica and lower back pain often. Could the difference in length potentially be the problem? It's even worse if I try to wear heels.

So today was my first day of work at a grocery store pushing carts and bagging groceries. I only got 3 hours of sleep. I should get 6-10. I couldn't sleep due to the heat last night. It had everyone up in my house. I managed to fall asleep and then wake up three hours later.

Everything seemed to go fairly smoothly, and by 4 hours my legs began to hurt like a 2 hour hike kind of leg ache. Then once 5 hours hit, it started to hurt a lot more. By 7 hours I felt like crying, and the muscles in my legs actually felt like they were going to burst, and my toes felt like they were bleeding.

Do you think my legs got so weak so fast because of my lack of sleep? I mean, I've worked before, but today was also cheque day where I live in Canada, so the mass of people buying groceries and using carts blew my mind.

Was it just a LOT of work, or lack of sleep?

I don't want to sound whiney, or lazy, because I don't think this a bad job or anything.

I'm getting ready to get an MRI and my sciatica is just getting worse and worse. I've been to two chiropractors and have been taking pain meds and using ice and laying my right side (it's down my left leg). Anyone able to cure it?
