HAVE THE MRI...NOTHING TO IT. it will show just where the problem is and what it is. after that you can start a regimen of pain relief that is just right for your problem. You might ask your doctor about a 10s unit. its a way of handling pain without having to take meds all the time. I love mine

yeah, it sucks

swimming, bicycle riding, and, believe it or not, sliding down a carpeted stairway on your back, headfirst, have worked for me in a temporary way. Also hanging upside-down on monkey bars or a tree limb can be helpful.

I would avoid surgery if possible, and work with a chiropractor. having said this, my ex-mother-in-law had surgery a couple of years ago and has been pain-free since then. She had really bad sciatica. mine comes and goes. Good-luck
