The pain is located directly around my left pectoral muscle and is closer to the far/outside of my chest. The pain is extremely mild but i feel it enough for it to be uncomfortable. I suffer from high blood pressure but I have it under control with medication (Toprol-XL 100mg tablets: 1 per day) and it is back to normal. I also have slightly high cholesterol but only by like 5 points and I have been working to get it down. I've already had an echo cardiogram done about 6 months ago (because of my unusually high blood pressure for my age) and the results were good with no detected problems. I am a 23 year old male and I am not overweight (I'm 5' - 9" and weigh 150lbs) and I am not in bad shape. Does anybody know what could be causing these pains??

Anywho, can anybody recommend any comfortable shoes that would make my day less painful? I have those dr. scholls shoes but they hurt more than gym shoes.

She has three slightly buling discs in her lumbar region. They caused some pain last year, but nothing too long term or horrible. At that time, there was no need for surgery.

A few weeks ago, er back acted up and has gotten progressively worse, with severe pain no matter what. Our insurance turned down a referral to an accupuncturist, and she can't get to see a spine specialist until Aug. 10. What can i do to help her be more comfortable? This is killing me because I can't think of anything to do for her!

I don't know if i pulled a muscle. I didn't do anything to make my back hurt this much. My whole lower back is killing me. It hurts so much the pain is going up to my shoulders and into my neck area. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, but what can I do in the mean time? I won't be able to sleep tonight. I took motrin earlier today and that didn't help what-so-ever. I also take prescribed Ultracet (a pain killer) which I take for my knees, I took that also and that didn't help either. I don't have any problems with urinating so I know its nothing to do with my kidneys. Ice isn't working and neither is heat. Does anyone have any suggestions to take the pain away at least for the night so I could sleep? I got work tomorrow.

A friend described an odd experience from high school (her 9 th grade year) recently. She said she had bent down during a class to pick up a pencil commenced to sit up straight again, and placed the pencil on the desk. At that moment she said she felt a sharp pain (like the prick from a (needle) shot) she said she froze and didn't actually get to let go of the pencil. She said that that pain was followed by a feeling of ice cold liquid flowing into her heart (as if from a needle injuction) from the place the sharp pain was. she said the ice cold liquid spread and made the area and the tissue near it go numb (like novicane... when you have a shot at the dentist), she said she was so scared she couldn't speak or move.... then her heart started beating slower and slower. She says it was beating so slowly it hurt and she was afraid it was going to stop. after a few long seconds it picked up pace, the numbness vanished and she could move agian. What kinda pain is that and what caused it?

tearing. They hurt like someone has beat them with a paddle or something. Now my ankles are swelling too. If I sit for a while then get up,, I can hardly walk! Should I be asking about surgery to fix this? We are going on a trip where we'll be walking alot, in late September.
Note: I am actually a woman...(this is my husband's account.)

This is a chewable prenatal multivitamin with Iron. I cannot swallow the usual prenatal tablets as they activate my gag reflexes.

So ladies, pls let me know if anyone has any idea about it. Greatly appreciate your response.

I just started my new job as an "entertainer". My legs are bruised and aching, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any at home remedies or "quick fixes" to either of these problems. I know that in time, my legs will grow stronger and ache less, but I have to go back to work the next couple of days and my body doesn't feel ready! Thanks!

I have had strange health issues now for almost a year & none of the doctors I've been to see can pin down a diagnosis, despite extensive blood tests, x-rays & other tests. I have seen a PCP, a holistic MD & a MD of internal medicine, & an orthopedist. I have been tested for everything from RA to Lyme disease to TB to pinched nerves & every possible hypothesis has turned up negative so far. A lot of the symptoms are generalized--such as fatigue, chonic sinusitus, achy joints, chronic back and neck pain, stress & being slightly overweight. I went to see a doctor several years ago because of intermittent pain & numbness in my arms, from the elbow down to the hand. Over the years, it has increased in frequency & duration to the point that it happens daily and is severe. I also had a bout of internal eye inflammation recently & my ESR rate has been weird the 3 times it was tested. I've been told to wait to see what else goes wrong & then do more tests. Any suggestions on what to do?

Right now, I'm in pain. For about 2 weeks I've had this lower back pain. It's been getting progressively worse. It's really bad in the morning. Can't bend over to put on my socks or my pants. Can't bend over at all really. Later on, it starts feeling better. Feels good when I lay down. But when I wake up in the morning, it's hell. I don't have insurance so I can't go see a chiropractor. Does anyone else have this problem, and if you do, what do you do? Is it just my muscles? I don't work out anymore, I started a desk job and am still getting used to it.

I'm currently eating Glucosamine pill but am considering to apply Glucosamine cream to affected areas such as knees and fingers as an additional treatment to improve my joints. But does it really works? Any first-hand experiences? Please share with me.
