well i haven't had my finger lost ,but my dad had his fingers chopped off by a lawn mower when he was little, and it even today afects him.but you do have hard ships but i hope you can get throw them ,my dad was reallt depressed and well i just hope that instead of dwelling on the past your find other things to help your future.in some cases like my fathers he learned to write with both hands, and if it is only half of your finger i have to say this, the skin and musle may take a long time maybe a few monthes to a year but your finger nail will seround it to make it heal.now adays my dad is better he did lose his tips of his finegers but he is now a computer manager at a big company so maybe over time you can help your finger adjust to a new life,

really hope you get better and hope that finger heal well,

*hugs*

I thought Id mention that django rhinehart- One of the greatest guitarists of all time- He had his hand crippled in a fire and coudnt use his pinky or ring finger on his chording hand. But he invented his own style and was still the best after the accident.
