Get your joints as warm and as relaxed as possible. Tighten muscles can make sensitive joints hurt worse. Heat will make those muscles relax. Massage gently all around each knee with the flat of your hand. If you have any body oils, use this to help your hands glide over the skin easier. My son has ADD and body tension is something he feels stronger than the average person, so body tension must be eliminated.

I have arthritis in my knee and Aleve helps with the pain. Water therapy is really good for sore knees so if you have a pool, do some gentle stretching . Mine also hurts and feels stiff after i have been sitting for awhile. It's best to work the stiffness out.
Try an icepack for 15 mins 2 x per day. That is what my rhuematologist says.

You could try heat packs to help relieve the pain. Try the heat for a while, and then switch to cold packs. Have you in the past done something like cheerleading or gymnastics that could have damaged your knees? I hope you feel better soon.

If it persists, make an appointment with your doctor. I highly doubt pain meds will be his/her first choice. Maybe he/she will refer you to a physical therapist or give you some ideas.

Eating fish helps increase omega-3 fatty acid intake, which may assist with inflammatory conditions. Stay hydrated (8 cups of water every day).

Try stretching your legs.

jeez! maybe you didn't take your ADHD meds today ha ha ha!

but serously, try direct pressure on where it hurts and see if that helps, or try wrapping it. If you want more Dr. kind of medical advice then go to webmd

RICE

R-rest
I-ice
C-compression
E-elevation

Rest it, ice 20 min on/20 off, wrap it not too tightly in an ace bandage, and keep it elevated above your hips.

And if it's not better by August, see your dr.
