I have not had any sleep for about 4 days, maybe and hour every night (broken sleep). I just lay in bed and the next thing I know 7 hours have gone by. Here are the pills I have tried over the past year or so:

Tynelol PM, all the other PM's : Does nothing
Simply Sleep: Nothing
Tradzone: My Doc gave me this, worked for a week last year but it gives me a rapid heartbeat and now it doesn't even help me sleep.
Sleep MD: Gimmic, does nothing
Melatonin: Nothing

My doctor is a moron he recommended Benadryl next, am I 5 years old. I don't think he understands how serious this is, I am beginning to blow up at people at work and am very irritable. I can't drink a warm glass of milk because I am lactose intolerant. I don't even drink coffee anymore or soda.

Any suggestions, please I am open to try anything at this point.

i would like to hear from people who have actually used it. are you entitled to the same kind of care as someone who is insured privately or do you see something lacking.

have conjunctivitis, and I've had to go through the whole annoying process of throwing out my contact lenses, mascara, etc. But I really want to avoid having to throw out my MAC eye shadows. Does anyone know how I can disinfect them? I've see make-up artists spray something on the eye shadow pots in the store, but I'm not sure what it is... would alcohol ruin them?

Any good home remides for the flu?

2007-01-02 07:45:50 · 2 answers · asked by Anonymous

Sunday night my body just started hurting. Every muscle is sore and I have just been staying in bed since then just getting up to take baths to help with the aches. I also need to sleep with pillows all around me to help me feel better.
It feels like a flu type but I don't have any other symptoms, just a small grade fever.. it hasn't gone above 101.00
I also haven't done anything strenuous that would have caused this.

Any ideas???

in the morning...it lasts a couple of hours but gets better throughout the day. Is this a medical condition or just a fact of getting older?

I can't get Medi-Cal insurance (health benefits) unless I am declared disabled. I can't be declared disabled unless I go to a doctor and have him fill out forms. I can't go to a doctor unless I can pay, since I have no health insurance. I can't pay unless I get Medi-Cal, which I can't get because . . . and the cycle continues.

How does one get started on all this? Go to a doctor when you know you can't pay him?

I have a pregnant friend who also suffers from the sleeping disorder Narcilepsy and is having trouble staying asleep at night. She can get to sleep ok but wakes up in the early hours and cannot get back to sleep. This may be due to the fact that she has come off her medication for her disorder due to her rpegnancy.
