A follow-on from a previous question. If you smell badly or have bad breath etc, are you actually aware of it yourself? Or is it usually a friend or college that has the difficult task of letting you know. I would be mortified if I was told that I smelt! Has anyone on here been on the receing end of such news or had to deliver the same?

Can a person with one kidney become an alcoholic? I think that they can. I mean what would stop them. I could see if they had a partial liver or something like that, but anyway I ask this question because there is a woman that I work with and they think her grandchild may be born with one kidney and her way to comfort her pregnant daughter was to say, "At least you know he will never be an alcoholic." She also told her daughter that this child will never be able to run and play sports. Is she misinformed?

You don't have to comment on the fact that this lady is crazy for "comforting" her daughter in this manner, we all know that.

I had the gastric bypass surgery done in 1998 when I was 18 yrs. old and they never told me I would ever have this much complication. My face was the first thing besides my breasts to thin out, and many times I have a hard time looking at myself in the mirror knowing I once had cheeks and bigger breasts. Along with this I have a lot of unattractive skin and need the tummy tuck. BCBS shield told me to speak with the doctor and have him file a report and that is what I am going to do in a few weeks. My question is ...What can I do to get a fuller face so my cheeks don't look sunkin' in and my cheek bones stick out? Please help me if you can!!!

My husband went in to the clinic for a D.O.T. physical, and he was found to be totally healthy except for his urine. They made him pee a few times, tested the heck out of it, then behind our backs with no permission, no signed waiver, and shutting the door on us (so we couldn't see into the room) they drug tested his urine. The only history he has is borderline kidney disease, which we disclosed to the Doctor. In our state the DOT does not require drug testing at physicals unless the Employer requests it. And there was no request! We just moved to this area and its a small place, of course he didn't have anything to worry about, and the urine was only "abnormal" due to his kidneys inactive and then overactive secreations of protiens and sugars ect., But it felt like we were being profiled or victims of some sort of stereo type and the more I think about it the mad'r I get! And if it would have been drugs, what then? Does he just get to make up the rules as he goes?
