My advice would be tell your doctor you want to avoid more drugs and the chemicals they contain.
Changes to diet are usually the first answer.
Avoid caffeine and aspertame like the plague. Drink at least two litres of still mineral water throughout the day (every day), its how your body functions - it's not my fault.
Good luck!

The strongest Prilosec, a proton pump inhibitor and the second teir would include Zantac, Pepcid AC, Axid AR, and Tagamet......BUT Pepto Bismo is the only one that will treat all these symtoms..the other drugs handle acid reflux and that is not what you are experiencing.....you should also price around...these is a big difference in drugstore prices like I have learned in the book "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz....save all your receipts and you may be able to write it off on your taxes!

It sounds like you might have some intolerance to particular foods. Hence:
- try reducing your intake of milk-products (milk, youghurt,
cheese etc)
- increase the amounts of high-fiber products, while decreasing
foods high in wheat flour
- avoid caffeinated products and (artificially) sweetened
beverages
- try drinking camomille and/or peppermint teas
- cut back on red meats and increase your intake of fish and
poultry
- try getting five servings of fruit and vegetables into your
everyday diet
If your problems persists, I advice you to see an internist. Your problems might have a more serious underlying cause, and it is better to be safe than sorry. As for OTC-medications to relieve your pains, I suggest taking antacids (Tums etc).
Get well!

Stomach pain or bellyache may be caused due to a problem in the organs in the abdominal region including digestive system, the liver, the gall bladder, pancreas, the appendix and the kidney. Minor problems like gastroenteritis can cause severe stomach pain, while fatal illnesses like cancer may cause only mild pain. Prilosec or Zantac are the best over the counter drugs. Both were once prescription. If your problems persist you should see a doctor, you might need antibiotics.

"Cy" has got it right...Pepto Bismol relieves all those symptoms, OTC speaking. If they're ongoing, talk to your doctor.
