because i need to really know some info bout this subject for my health science tech 1 class and we are going to present this info on the 13th holla back at me

LPN, or Licensed Practical Nurse....in some states it's called an LVN, or Licensed Vocational Nurse. The course (depending on the state and curriculum) is usually from 1 year to 1 1/2 years. Many LPNs go back to college and get their RN (Registered Nurse). You'll be paid higher as an RN than an LPN. Normally LPNs pass medications in hospitals and nursing homes and assist or supervise the CNAs (certified nurse's aides) and orderlies. The RNs supervise the shift.
