If so, was it something that you saw a commercial for and went and asked your doctor for it, or did you have a problem and the doctor prescribed soemthing for you. Also, how many prescription meds are you on? Do you think Commercials for prescription meds should be stopped?

But....I don't want my friend to get in trouble. Was his wife's fault combined with a broken fence, and a very VERY aggresive dog. ( I didn't know the fence was broken, and was standing what should have been a safe distance.) So........
What do I do about the wound, its a pretty nice chunk of mangled skin. I don't really do the hospital/doctor thing. Have great insurance if I have to. It doesn't need stiched, but there is always the chance, allthough in this case a very SLIM chance of rabies? Are there recognizable symptoms? Am I too hard-headed and should go to the Doc? What will happen to the friend and/or his dog?

I didn't break anything. But I hit the ground hard. I first felt pain by my lower back - then on my right hip - which is what I fell on - the horse was running when I fell. It feels like the muscles don't want to expand and move for me when I do, they feel tight and it is worse with the ice - but they said i must do it for swelling... I am very stiff and I am starting to get sore in more places. They gave me vicodin but it only helped a little for about 2 hours. I can take it every six. They told me to ice it and I just put on icy hot. So with the way I hit the ground - is it a muscle strain? I would like a name for the injury so I can look it up more online....

Any help is great

thanks!

i found out monday that i had torn my ACL, so the doc put me in a brace and on crutches... they haven't done an MRI yet because of my insurance, to see how bad the damage is... it seemed like it was getting better yesterday... not much swelling, very little pain, but today as i was trying to get around i kept feeling my knee pop... it didn't hurt really, but just kept doing it... like i said i'm in a brace so i can't move it much but when i try to readjust myself in a chair or on the couch it does move some... now a couple of hours ago it really got to bothering me and it doesn't seem to want to ease up any... any suggestions...

I have realized that it could have probaly been avoided if I kept up a pace meaning I started the track running towards the front of the pack and ended up towards the back by the time I was finished.

This ever happen to you?

Any way to speed up the so recovery? Or do I have to just wait for the stiff feel to go away?

I was an active basketball player when I was younger and would constantly sprain my ankles. I would sprain the right more often. Now I can always tell when I'm about to ovulate cause I would get shooting pains in my right ankle. Is that actually feasibly possible.

I'm a student, and sat down yesterday and wrote 17 pages of notes on a 3x5 index card (which is allowed for tests in my class). This probably took me about 6 hours, and I'm sure that my shoulder was scrunched while I was trying to write as small as I could.

I remember my right thumb (I'm right-handed) being numb after I had finished last night, and it's still numb today. No pain-more the tingly feeling that you get when your foot falls asleep. Only on the pad of the thumb. What's going on?

Well I have had this for quite some time now (going on 5 months) and am about to start physical therapy, but i was wondering if anyone out there might have any good ideas or has been through it before and could give me some helpful advice. My doc says it is a long healing process so the most trouble I am having is being patient because I love to run and ride my bicycle and can not do that at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated, I'll keep ya updated with my condition and how things are going. Thanks for being out there.

I was sick and had to go to the hospital today, where they gave me a saline solution intravenously. While the IV was in my arm, another nurse came in and told me to undress for an EKG. I asked her if we could remove the needle from my arm first.

She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Uhh, you can bend your arm." When I did, blood went back up the IV tube for about 6 inches, and it caused a little pain. However, now I can barely move that arm at the elbow and it is very sore.

Was she wrong?

i tore my ACL on march 1. i saw a doctor and they said i have a tear in my ACL. i don,t know if it is complete or not. i have a doctor appointment on the 27 with a orthepedic surgeon. i have read that if you don,t exercise the knee it will get stiff. i am currently exercising my knee. i have also read that if you want to return to sports you have to get surgery. my mother is afraid that there is a window of opportunity for the surgery. this type of injury usually ends seasons and takes a while to heal. its been 14 days since the accident and i am walking without crutches but with a knee stabilizer. i am healing much faster than i expected. i welcome everyones opinion on this but i would prefer a professional or someone who had this injury before. sense my appointment is so late in the month, do you think i am doomed?

i hurt it when i was sleeping. and i dont know how. but i know where it hurts. its right below my elbow. and a little sideways on the top part of my arm. i cant bend it, without alot of pain. it hurts to move my wrist up, down, or any other way. and i cant make a fist.
and its the muscle.if i feel it gently i it feels like a rock under my skin. and its very painful to touch it at all! it actually goes from my wrist to my sholder. but it hurts the most by my elbow.

what should i do. i know its not broken. its only the muscle.

I have tendinitis in my thumb for about 15 months. I still have pain and cannot use my hand properly.

I already had anti inflammatory and physical therapy.

Will it still help if I wear a brace at night?

I have never been to a Chiropractor.
I have been diagnosed with a pinched nerve needing fusion surgery and an arthritic shoulder that will soon need a replacement joint and I do not like the thought of either one. Do DC’s read MRI’s? Can they prescribe pain killers or can they do surgery? Can they unpinch a pinched nerve? Can they paralyze me by pushing on my pinched nerve? Any personal experiences would be welcomed.
