If so, was it something that you saw a commercial for and went and asked your doctor for it, or did you have a problem and the doctor prescribed soemthing for you. Also, how many prescription meds are you on? Do you think Commercials for prescription meds should be stopped?

I am taking antibiotics for a number of years as a result of a bone infection from a hip replacement surgery. It had to be redone. A temporary replacement was inserted and treated with antibiotics. My leg stretched for weeks in a hospital bed with weights attached to my foot and finally a new joint was put into place but blood test show that I have to continue taking the medication otherwise I could get another infection which is unbelievably pain full. I am also taking leva dopa(a form of dopamine---Madopar) as the surgery caused my leg spasms to increase. The dosage has been reduced considerably after I started to have visions and lost touch with reality but not with the pain ! I don't watch much TV so I do not see much of the commercials but any knowledge of prescription medication is a good thing.

Yes, I am on four prescription meds. I did not ask for them, specifically. I think the commercials are a good thing, because it helps to educate the public about their possible illnesses and their medicinal options.

Sure, they are annoying as crap....but, they do educate to some degree. So, that is a good thing.
