General Health Care - October 2007

I pulled a weed without any gloves, not realizing it had TONS of really tiny thorns on it. It hurt REALLY bad where my fingers got pricked. It felt like a thousand bees stung me. Now, it doesn't have the same intense pain, but instead I keep feeling this prickling sensation going through my hand.
Any suggestions or advice? (Besides to wear gloves next time!)

I am having surgery on Tues morn. and I love to smoke the herbals. I took a couple of puffs today and plan on not drinking or smoking anything else until after I am healed, and I don't smoke ciggs, Am I going to croak or end up in the icu? This anesthesia stuff is pure bullshit you think they would have a safer way.

I Have a "blacklight table" with a whole buch of UV items on it. I also have a hoohah sitting on it so if i drop a highlighter in there it would look amazing. Will smoking out of it be too dangerous?

sometimes i wake in the middle if the night and my heart starts beating fast. i feel like i might throw up, but not really. it lasts like 30-60 seconds. i went to the hospital once, but it stopped by the time i got there nd they found nothin wrong. i had a theory that its just because i need water nd i feel better after drinking. anywayz just wondering if u guys have any ideas.

I was playing soccer with my friend and fell and my wrist instantly hurt very bad and my elbow hurt to but not as bad as my wrist.Later on that night we went to the E.r. and they took 3 x-rays of my wrist and 4 of my elbow.When the doctor came back she said that I had a fat pad sign and there could be a posible fracture.I go back to the doctor on monday.Do you know how long i would have to wear a cast and what kind of cast if it is a fracture? thank you

Ive been having this really tight, very uncomfortable feeling in my throat, almost feeling like there is pressure being applied. The only relief I get is to force a belch or burp which comes from deep down and usually has a "hollow" sound. I guess its sort of "gassy" but what is the relation to my bothered throat. What is the cause of this and what can I do to not suffer from this anymore.

I put on some acrylic nails last night, because they're the only thing that keep me from chewing my nails, and now my thumb, right under my nail, is bruised and a dark red color. It has a throbbing pain, and is warm. It started hurting last night, about an hour after I was done, but I didn't think anything about it because I'm very klutzy, and always have random aches and bruises showing up. What could be wrong? It's going to be impossible to get these nails off, I can't take the pain of ripping them off, and my natural nails would probably come with them, causing more damage to my finger.

welll last week i hit my finger on my locker and i scraped some of my skin off. While i was sleeping the next day i scratched the scab of and then this purple lump came up. It hurts when i press on it too! well today i accidentaly scratched it again and this white liquid came up! around the scab som of my skin is white.i think it was puss. Is the scrape infected or is this a boil??
I DONT KNOW WUT IT IS??!

On and off for the past week and a half, I have been having muscle spasms right below my right eye. It twitches for a few minutes, and then nothing will happen for a couple of hours before it starts up again. Nothing has really changed in my diet and exercise routine, but I have been busier than usual lately. Are stress and lack of sleep likely to result in this type of thing?

i get a headach on the left side of my head ( it's so painful sometimes) when i try to think of words to say during speaking and discussing , for this reason i get nervous when i participate in a discussion. is there something wrong with my brain? i didnt have this couple years ago.

I've had this sharp pain for a couple days, now. It's just to the right of my belly button. It's over a small area, maybe the size of a half-dollar. The severity of it depends of my positioning, i.e. how I sit/lie down, or how I breathe. If I breathe too shallow, or breathe with my stomach, instead of my chest (hope that makes sense), it makes it worse. It feels like it's deeper in the abdomen, not like it's on the surface.
I don't think it's gallbladder related, because it's not under my ribcage, or caused me to be nauseas, or radiated to my back area. It just remains in that one area.
I've had this before, but it has always gone away after I find a comfortable position, and fall asleep. This is the longest it's ever lasted.
That's about all the info I can think of.

I just dislocated my leg a moment ago and it hurt like HELL! I had to grab it and pop it back into place with my hands. Now that was PAINFUL. I'm very sure I didn't dislocate my knee cap. My knee cap was fine, the bottom part of my leg seemed like it came almost completely off the top part. Right at the knee area. I can hardly stretch it now, and it still hurts. When I walk I can't put any pressure on it or it feels like hell. I don't have medical and I won't go to the doctors. Can you explained to me what may have happened and what I can do to help it heal faster? It's swelling bad and when I touch it, it feels like jello. All that for a pack of smokes. Went out to get some and when I got back this happened at the stairs. I hit it the wrong way too hard by mistake.

I am out and in pain, is there anything i can do? could i transfer my prescription? I was told i could take up to 2 at a time every 4-6 hrs. I went thru them this is day 4. The pharmacy said i cannot refill until monday. Is there anyway to go around this?

i just got a job which requires 8 whole hours of standing/walking. my feet do not agree with that. they hurt so much only after 3 hours . i need a job, but i cant keep doing all this walking/standing for 8 hours. my feet get numb and feel like there bleeding. its horrible and it makes me wanna cry. should i go to a foot doctor or does everyones feet feel like that? i cant concentrate doing my job because all im thinking about is my feet

A couple months ago i went to the V. A. Hospital and changed my blood pressure and heartburn meds. About a week ago food started tasting bad like there was baking soda in it. It has gotten worse to where i don't have any taste for sweet, sour, or salt just the baking soda taste even in water. Is this permanent?

My friend has taken hallucenogenic mushrooms and is now hardly able to get his words out, it is very hard for him to talk, I can tell he understands but cannnot get his body to function. Hi, I need a quick constipation fix.

I travel for my work, ( Flight attendant ) and need something that will work quickly and effectively before my next trip tomorrow.
