I've had this sharp pain for a couple days, now. It's just to the right of my belly button. It's over a small area, maybe the size of a half-dollar. The severity of it depends of my positioning, i.e. how I sit/lie down, or how I breathe. If I breathe too shallow, or breathe with my stomach, instead of my chest (hope that makes sense), it makes it worse. It feels like it's deeper in the abdomen, not like it's on the surface.
I don't think it's gallbladder related, because it's not under my ribcage, or caused me to be nauseas, or radiated to my back area. It just remains in that one area.
I've had this before, but it has always gone away after I find a comfortable position, and fall asleep. This is the longest it's ever lasted.
That's about all the info I can think of.

Thanks for the input

Hi- Have you checked this out with a Physician? If this keeps reoccuring, you need to have this checked out by a Professional. Could be bowel related- Could be gall bladder- I've had my gall bladder removed, plus I worked in Surgery, and saw many Patients with all having different symptoms. Do you have ur appendix? Do your bowels move regularly? I realize I'm asking lots of questions. This is the type of questions ur Physician will be asking you. Write down the symptoms, and make sure you don't forget to tell the Doctor anything, as, it is easy to do, once in the office. I hope this helped. Here are a few sites below that may help you out. Good luck and take care!

Hard to tell but could mean you need a good bowel movement. Most commonly it would be a gall bladder or appendix. If the pain persists and you develope other symptoms go to the doctor.
