My right eyelid has been twitching a lot lately and coincidentally I have been under a lot of stress. Just wondering if this has been proven to be a physical manefestation of stress.

Thanks!

It certainly is a result of stress. I have had the same twitch and it's usually goes away within a day or two and is never noticeable to others but I can feel it. Be careful that it doesn't go on too long though, my mother-in-law had the eye twitch for a couple of weeks, caused by stress, then she developed Bell's Palsy. This is where the nerves on one side of your face are almost paralyzed. She looked like she had a stroke. She couldn't even blink one eye and drooled. I felt awful for her! My advise, is to kick the stress out and hopefully that twitch will subside.

Yeah mine has been twitching for the last 6 and a half years ever since Chimpy was sworn in to the office he stole with the help of the Jack in the Supreme Court, that sad night.

Sometimes, I tend to just blink a lot which makes it look like I'm twitching when I'm really nervous or stressed.

It happens to me sometimes as well. I don't know about it stress related. If it were I would think I would have more often that I do. Sometimes I think it's just a physical type thing, like an itch.

honey, stress can make you liver quiver! LOL.. really, it can cause a whole lot of symptoms...and yours is one! Try hard to remove whichever stressors which you can. I actually did a lengthy research paper on the effects of stress. If people only knew the half of it...hair-loss, panic disorder, cancer, cold, flu...are just a slim few of the illnesses directly caused by stress! When they say "stress kills", believe it! good luck.
