This could be the simple result of sleeping with too high pillows. Restricting the respiration. By compression of the throat. When you have insufficient oxygen intake, the heart will speed up to get more oxygen into the system. Is one of the strange phenomena of the interchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide within the body.

A diet low in carbohydrates can cause a run away heart beat.
All muscles need to be fed by carbs= sugar to be strong and functional.

If you are not a big water drinker, dehydration could cause this symptom to, I suppose. We are a high percentage water, so if you sweat in your sleep or while exercising you do need to replace it.

Good Luck.

Maybe you should book an appointment with your docter just to have a double check because hospitals don't always find things.
Hope you get better soon though.

something in your dreams might cause this reaction & you just don't remember the dream. Try not to worry about it.
