does it hurt when you go to the doctors to get the ingrown toenail out?

i keep hittin my toe and i dont kno if itts infected or not and im really scared that it will hurt if i go to the doctor do the even get you toe numb>>??? im onlly 12 please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i used to get that all the time.. good thing it seems to fade away with age..
here's the thing: you go to the doctor's, he will check it out 1st.. if he's gonna do some digging, he WILL make your toe numb at 1st.. you won't feel a thing trust me.
worrying about it is the bigger issue here, i suggest you take it easy sweetie, you'll be laughing it off when you've done it and can walk all great again.

My son had an infected ingrown toenail at age 5, and did well through the whole procedure.
Yes, they give you something to numb it up - in fact you get injections at several sites - all around base of toe [ 'nerve block' ].
Then they do procedure after it starts to work.
You must wear a bandage and antibiotic ointment for several days after, and no PE for several days, either.
My son wore slippers, and went to Discovery Zone [ mazes, slides, play pits like Chucky Cheese ] the day after, with no complaints of pain. I did make him wear two pairs of socks to protect it a little.

nope not at all you just go there to the doctors in he will dead it with a needlein wait for about 5 minute in see if you feel any pain in then he will cut it out in it will be over with in about 10 are even 20 secounds in then no more pain will be there any more even get your self some shoe that are not so tight that is the real reason that people get hang nails all the time wearing tight shoes are not wearing the right size shoe hope this helped you out alot later

If you need a little work done on your toe he'll spray it with a numbing fix, wait a few minute and give you a tiny shot ( not feeling by now) and tickle it out of there! If everyone else can do it you can too!
