I am 14 years old and I have really bad pain in my right shoulder. It has been going on and off for about a year. My doctors think it is just referred pain from my gallbladder but, I don't think it would hurt this bad and this much. I use biofreeze twice a day and keep heat on it when I can. I am going to see an orthopedic next week. I was just wondering if anyone else had any ideas of what to do or what it might be!
Thanks!!

Hi Folks,

I just got a thorn stuck in my finger. My friend tried to remove it with a sterilized pin and he removed it . But, I feel that there is some small part of it in my finger and I have some pain when I touch my finger . Please let me know how to find that I still have some part of that nail in my finger and how to remove that small part.

thankyou

I got a 'slightly' bulged disc in my lower back several yrs ago that pretty much ended my soccer dreams in college due to timing.
I tried to train on it too early and never really fully recovered.
After about 3yrs I missed battle ( I wrestled for 13yrs), so I started muay thai kickboxing and brazilian ju jitsu. I've found my legs to get extremely heavy, my gate movement is shaky, and occassionally I tweak my back doing a back bridge trying to bump someone off me. Then of course, the pains that go into my hips return and the pain in between my vertebrae as well.
I train when I'm not in ridiculous pain but before I set my heart on competing i want to know I'm 110% and I fear seeing a doc who will tell me I need surgery.
Should I see a chiropractor or acupunturist instead?

I tripped 9 months ago and broke the fall with my hands. They were sore but the paramedic said no bones were broken. The soreness took a few months to go away.

A couple months ago 2 lumps developed next to each other on one hand. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fall or it's something else. The lumps aren't painful but are annoying.

I woke up around 10 on Friday morning. Now, magically, it appears to be almost 6 on Saturday night. At 3 on Friday, I took Tylenol Cold PM and did this again at 8. At approximately midnight, I took Nyquil, then again @ 5, 9, and 4. Each time I took the cold medicine, I also took 30 mg of dexedrine (so that I would not fall asleep). So I guess this is now over 30 hours of being awake and maybe a little too much medication. But my question is - where did the time go? I can't believe I lost all of today. I am not going to reach my walking goal today, but this is my choice I guess - I still could. I have been glued to a computer or TV for the past 30 hours with the exception of food preparation, bathroom visits, medication consumptions, and a walk to my car once or twice.

So really my question, as stated, is just how did I lose so much time? >.

I have been having pain in my right rib area for about a month now and cannot figure out what it is or how to make it go away. I have had a few other symptoms such as stomach pains, nausea, diarhea, and lack of appetite but the main issue is the pain. Most of the pain is flank pain on my right side but sometimes is felt up in shoulder and chest all on right side. Have been to the dr. a couple times but blood, urine, and ct scan all showed nothing... Please help.

How does your body know pain? I know the nerves and all that fun stuff, But my question is, How do your nerves know when there is pain? say you have a hang nail... when you use nail clippers and get it off, it hurts... How does your body know that?

Hi. In the summer (that’s like over 6 months ago) I use to do a lot of training cause I use to play sports, so my training involved workouts like Abs etc and then one night I just had this stomach pain. I went to the doctors for check out but they couldn’t see anything wrong, so they told me that I most probably pulled/strained my muscles. The doctor’s advice was to keep away from exercise and to take some painkillers to ease the pain. After 3 months that healed but the thing is I started to get these like choking/ swallowing problems its not bad or nothing, it would happen once in a while if I had some solid food I might have a little trouble swallowing. I told my parents about it and they said just to take my time when eating but what I want to know is, could this be like a little side affect from my recently stomach injuries? And what should I do?

Well.. this is how my symptoms are..
Wednesday woke up with little cramping.. nothing much and then on Thursday the loss of appetite came with it and I got about 2 moments of nausea and the cramping came a bit worse.. then Friday the cramping came worse and the nausea was really there.. Today I have no appetite but I'm eating cause I know I have to, I have more nausea and the cramping is always there..
Mkay.. well I was reading that you barely anyone has vomiting, but it could happen.. I have nausea and when I eat.. it's like it stays stuck in my throat and I feel the need to burp it up.. I'm 17.. It hurts when I pull my right leg up to it and also when I'm in the shower and the water falls onto it, It's very sensitive..
plus I have a hard time passing gas, they pass, but with pain.. I heard that's another one..

I think it may be appendicitis.. what do you think?

I tried saline but that stuff didn't work at all? Basically i have no idea what it is, the only time i get relief is when i take a hot shower/then walk into the room and for a few seconds i can breathe normally.

I've never done drugs or anything like that, i dont drink, etc etc so thats not it. I just dont understand whats up. I was on accutane for a year, and before it i never had this problem? But talking to doctors they said that wouldnt do it?

Anyways if i grab my upper lip and kinda make it expand then my nose opens up and it doesn't feel sticky/etc for a few seconds, then it just goes back to normal. anyhow it's really a horrible feeling so any advice would help tons

thanks

I am serious, I have like a REALLY bad habit and I need to stop. Any ideas of how to stop? I also would like to know what happends when you crack you knuckles, I know its somting like popping your cartalage or somthing like that. Last questions is if it can really cause arthritous, because I am a singer/piano player and I know that would not be good for the piano. Thanks thanks!

I've been experiencing this problem for about a year now. My chest (heart side) feels uncomfortable under the collar bone about 2-3 inches on the hearts right side near the sternum. I alleviate this by arching my chest forward and raising my head this in turn causes my chest to pop numerous times and causes me sometimes to become light headed ( this fixes the problem temporarily, I pop in numerous times throughout the day). This popping is analogous to when you crack your knuckles. Now my doctor basically told me not to lift heavy objects because at that time I was working in a warehouse and go to the gym a lot (cant do dips anymore), but I haven’t gone to the gym since December and I don’t work in a warehouse anymore so what is causing this sensation I’m feeling in my chest.. I had numerous cardiograms done and it showed nothing, I even did the stress test on the treadmill in my doctor’s office and I passed that as well. The doctor gave me naproxen (basically a really strong Aleve) and that’s all he did for me and I only take it when the pain is unbearable. I suffer from GERD by I have a lot of control over take using nothing more than Rolaids now a day. I take one a day multivitamins. Don’t drink, rarely smoke. Sleep on my left side. What other information should I provide even if it seems minuscule? Some days im ok and I don’t pop it some days are bad. There was one time where the pain was so incredible that I couldn’t lay down or move and my body was crooked. But I want to know so I continue to crack it, should I work this muscle out cause I’m about to start going back to the gym, any information would be appreciated.

I am in alot of pain. The accident happened three months ago. I was thrown from a motorcycle and hit tree at about 30 miles hour. I hit the tree with my arm and broke it in two places and dislocated my shoulder. I had surgery on my arm and sometimes it hurts too, especially at work. I work as an instructor at a university. So I have trouble when I write on the overhead and during some of the labs. I have tried physical therapy... but I hate it. I don't mind going, but with my busy life I feel like I am missing out with time with my kids. Is there anything I can take for the pain. Most of the pain is in my shoulder, but sometimes my arm hurts too.
