Hi Folks,

I just got a thorn stuck in my finger. My friend tried to remove it with a sterilized pin and he removed it . But, I feel that there is some small part of it in my finger and I have some pain when I touch my finger . Please let me know how to find that I still have some part of that nail in my finger and how to remove that small part.

thankyou

Oh, good grief, don't go have your finger x-rayed! Talk about over-kill! LOL Soak your finger in hot water or epsom salts or peroxide and put some antibiotic ointment on it and it should work its way out on its own. My husband had just this exact same thing happen to him (except it was his toe) and it took a couple of days but it is fine now.
If it gets more infected and you see a red streak running up your arm then you need antibiotics! Otherwise I am sure you will be fine.

I hope you put antibiotic ointment or even just some alcohol on it, then a bandaid. What you're experiencing is caused by nerve damage in the wound. Keep it clean, the pain will go away. (If it doesn't after a day or so, and the skin around it turns red and puffy, there's probably still a bit of foreign material in there. You might need to have a nurse or doctor check it.)

if u think there may still be a small part of it in ur finger, the best thing for u to do is go have ur finger x-rayed... if u can't get it out by a needle, they may have to cut into ur finger to get it out... if u don't have it removed it will become infected...

it probly is out, thorns are a bit like they are poison like a cat fish fin.it is probley is just sore. if not better in a couple of days, put an ointment on that draws,if it festers up the salve will draw it to the outer skin to be picked out.

Give it a few days, unless it is showing signs of being infected. If it continues to hurt after that or gets red or swollen or has puss, see a physician.

It may fester and pop out on its own
