Its never happened before, it just started happening recently. I don't even run a mile or anything its just during gym, which is 40 minutes, and all i do is play basketball and the pain stays for like 2 hours. Today it happened when i was playing soccer outside, in 5 minutes it started hurting. Im 14 yrs old by the way. What should i do?

You are pounding on your knee so hard that it is inflamed. Try exercising on a surface with more "cushion" such as a wooden floor instead of concrete. If that does not work, try a different shoe - softer and better inner soles. The shoe should also be flexible. You may be surprised that the best shoe may not be the most expensive.

Running is not really a good exercise. If you are already getting knee pain at 14, i would be cautious. Make sure you stretch your legs out VERY well, there are muscles that attach via tendons to your knee. Also, I don't know if a 14 y/o can take vitamin supplements, but ask your doctor if you can have glucosomine.

Just rest a bit. Stop running and jog instead. This is probably a temporary things. You probably sprained or pulled a string on ur leg muscles.

Build strength in knees, get you a set of weights and lift them on your ankles.
Get some magnets off fridge and put on knees for pain.
(wrap em with a sock if ya have to)
Ice is good for pain, and calcium builds strong bones.
