I have always wondered something, but always had the sence not to try it... if I were to drop a big block of ice on my foot, would it swell? LMAO, please understand people, I am kidding here. Please add supporting details to your answer.

I am amazed at how many people ask complete strangers for medical advice, particularly the medical emergency ones such as the child with 104 degree temp.! or the man who hit his head and is not numb on one side......Dont people KNOW when to seek medical attention?!?!?!

I recently reopened a large wound on my leg from slidding in softball. I have non-stick gauze pads, but they aren't quite large enough to cover the whole wound with one pad. Would saran wrap work ok, providing I dress the wound with bandages over it?

I have a 2nd degree chemical burn on my scalp and it became infected 12 days ago... The infection is gone. How much longer will it take for it to heal now. It has been three weeks total since i got the burn...Is this about right?

I'm in the UK.
Here it's fairly good but not perfect.The hospitals are a bit dirty.
The staff work there butts of trying to treat people.
But we don't have enough doctors and nurses etc.
Is your country any better?

I broke my pinky finger 4-5 years ago and the doctor did a really bad job at putting on the splint so the finger is now slightly deformed and is occasionally numb. Over the past 2 years, however, I have been experiencing arm weakness, aching, shoulder discomfort on the arm with the broken finger. Sometimes I can't fall asleep because my arm is bothering me so much. Also, I'm not sure but when I raise my arm to drain the blood to my shoulder region, it actually feels better so I'm suspecting it has something to do with blood circulation to my arm? I have seen 2 doctors but they have not made a conclusive diagnosis. I have tried weight training using my shoulder/arm muscles but it hasn't gone away. Is the finger injury related to the arm pain? Any suggestions to what might this condition be? Thanks!

my wife is 30,working as Ob/Gyn resident (hard work),her back and neck pain started 1 years ago,and now adays is gone interferes with her routine life ,she has pains and some tender points over her spinous processes of her spines usually starts in the evening after just a few hours sitting or standing,she has thorasic outlet syndrom stablished with EMG/NCV but had negative inflammatory markers like CRP,ESR,HLA B27,RF and ...,she has just done MRI of her spines but there were no abnormality ,she is 156 cm ,58 kg.

Hi, please can someone tell me what are the symptoms of athritus, as i have had problems with pain and swelling in my legs all my life, it has now spread to my back and feet. Its really painful.
Ive been to the doctors but he doesnt give me anything for it, he recommends Ibuprofen but i am allergic to it and other pain killers dont ease the pain. I was just woundering if this could be the symptoms of arthritus. Its a painful ache from my back down both legs, to my feet, my knees swell and my ankles are constantly swollen. Also it has gone to my toe joint and its extremely painful. Please can someone help.

I have had my spine messed about with by a trainee anaesthetist and since then i am unsteady on my feet and get shooting pains up my upper thighs when i walk. My mobility has been very much affected and i put it all down to after having an epidural for pain relief in labour. The epidural went terribly wrong; and the pain i have now is the same kind of pain i had when this anaesthetist was making several punctures to my back! Is it possible that some nerves may have been damaged and if so, will i ever recover? I am having physio at present. Is there something else i can do? This is getting me really down. Ok I have a really bad knee!I busted it playing hockey first (you will laugh)I fell into the bench and twisted it and second I got hit in the same knee with the puck. I am mature enough to admit that in the past month or so I have had an increased problem with anger. It seems everything and everyone is making me angry. How can I deal with these emotions in a healthy way? I have felt like I may slap and curse one of my co-workers lately. What do you do when get so angry you have physical side effects ie: Shaking, Red in the face, rapid heart beat.?

I did start Therapy a few weeks ago to deal with the death of someone very close to me. Is my Anger just apart of the grieving process?

When I wake up in the morning I feel great. But by about 3 in the afternoon I usually have a fuzzy feeling head. And I am worn down to the put I just don't want to do anything. I eat extremely healthy. I work at a desk and do neck exercise and have good posture. I try to walk often.

Has anyone experienced what I am talking about and found out what then needed to do to feel better?
