General Health Care - July 2006

I play basketball often, and i would like to have surgery soon, but my doc said if my knee wasnt experiencing "buckling" or "locking"(which its not) then he recommended against surgery. my knee only hurts when i try to sraighten it all the way or try and squat down. but he wants me to get my range of motion back before surgery.

so is this normal? why would he recommend against surgery?

Yes, they are the EXACT same meds, from the exact same mfgr. Why should I bend to the law and buy my meds in the USA? Just to make fat drug companies richer?
Anyone else in this boat?

I think I was bitten by a small snake in my yard. I have a quarter sized bruise with fang looking spots in it. I was definately spooked by something the other night that got me in the yard, but had no visible signs until the next day.

Today when i got home from an extensive day of playing basketball in the sun, i had to use the bathroom.. And without saying much more, I noticed blood in it. very small spot. I had my 3rd lumbar discectomy back in Nov. of 05 and have since had several MRI's. The first was done 3 months after my surgery. In fact this was the first of any type of imaging after surgery and the surgeon isn't the one who ordered it. ALL the MRI's (even today) show "pseudomeningocele posteriorly at L4-5 related to prior laminotomy". Should this have been addressed by the surgeon and fixed? Is this dangerous that I still have this fluid leaking? And can it be causing pressure on my nerves? I appreciate and help!

No need to judge please, I DON"T care to here the comments about how marijuana is sooo bad for. I'm not trying to be harsh, but save it for someone who cares please. Thank you dear.

I'm wondering if you would be more likely to give a dirty urine sample if you smoked the really good stuff once a day, or the crappy stuff 3 times a day? In other words is there more THC in one gram of hydro than there is in 2 grams of regular weed? Anyone who can give me a good answer to this will get 10 points thanks....:)

I mean seriously- I know we see a lot of really stupid questions in here.(stupid questions, stupid answers) BUT- The serious/important ones should be handled. If not anything good to say- leave the question alone. There's plenty of other people to bother. It's so high school. But wait- most of the people in here are under age and some -very immature. such a waste of time and space.

I've just been to Skegness, England ( North Sea ) yesterday and got a rather large sting round my calf. It started off leaking puss, then went a funny colour. Now left with promenant mark sore to touch.

Didn't see the culprit, beach too misty with sand.

How long have I got to live??

Everytime I put a ring on my wedding finger it breaks out in a blistered rash. My wedding ring is a really nice and expensive ring. It is 14k gold. I even went and had my ring checked to make sure I didn't get ripped off. I have had it cleaned many many times. The confusing thing is, I can wear all other jewlery, necklaces, other rings, ear rings, anything. Just nothing on my wedding finger. This has been going on for a few years. Any ideas? Maybe an infection??

MY ankle has been hurting a lot when I walk. It started a couple days ago. I told my mom and she said...okay. She never did anything about it. Should I just dealwith it and hope it goes away or tell her to take me to the ER? Anyone have any suggestions? She doesn't know howbad it hurts...i can barely walk. Crutches might help but I don't have any. What do I do?
